So at first I was disappointed, because, my husband who works with wood products and is a forklift operator in the cold North Land winters, got a hole in one of the finger tips within two weeks of wearing them. But I contacted the company Wells Lamont, and the very same day, through email, they are sending me a replacement pair of the same thing straight from the company, not Amazon. So they really do stand by their product. I had to send them a picture of the whole in the gloves, but as soon as she saw the hole and knew that it happened within two weeks, a new free replacement pair is on the way!
So very wonderful to see when a company stands by their product, especially when the description says they can be used for "tough" jobs like working with wood products. So my husband and I are happy customers and will definitely buy from Wells Lamont again, including this pair here. So I already purchased a new pair from Amazon, but they are sending out another pair anyway, so we'll be set for a while. Especially with the cold snap "POLAR PLUNGE" going on in the country right now, well, most of the country.
So in conclusion, if you are worried about getting theses gloves because of warmth, my husband says they are the warmest gloves he's ever owned. They are even warm enough in below zero temps and the company stands behind their product, plus you have Amazons awesome return policy if you're just not happy with them. But as for my husband, he loves these gloves.
So just get them, and know you are covered by both Amazon and the company Wells Lamont.
Warmest work gloves I could afford. Durable, washable, and easy to put off/on. Used them when temps were in the teen's. You can put a liner in if you have to take them off/on to write.
Update: Wore these last night at work outside. Temperature 8 F, wind less than 10 mph. Kept my hands warm for 2-3 hour stretches on a forklift before going in to warm up. I have washed the first pair 10+ times and they are still in good condition. Bought a second pair for lending out. in case I lose my first pair, or my hands get sweaty. With so many different gloves on the dock, I haven't seen any that are as good as mine.
My hand size: 11-1/8 at the fattest part, 8-1/4 from the wrist break to tip of middle finger. XL fits well. A little stiff at first, but after wearing a few time and a wash, they fit "like a glove". Tonight the temp will drop to zero and I will wear a silk liner (the liners are not durable, but help.
I love these gloves for there flexibility and warmth, I sno seal them for extra waterproofing and it mats the leathers nap which I think makes it more durable. These aren't as durable as smooth cowhide, it's a split leather, like a suede, but that's what gives it's flexibility. Can't attest for hard daily work use, just regular winter use doing chores, shoveling and for car rides. Regardless these will be more durable than regular nylon ski gloves.
I bought my first pair for general yard work, camping , and bushcraft. They are warm and they are very comfortable. I never really got to put them through their paces before my dog decided he wanted them more than I did. Anyways, the second pair came in and I've been using them non-stop cutting wood, clearing brush and debris form the yard. These gloves are durable, comfortable, and they are very affordable. I'll buy another pair when I wear these out.
I have only had these one winter so far, but as a maintenance technician I do a lot of shoveling at work. I used to burn through ordinary gloves really fast doing that. These however are really rugged for shoveling and one of the warmest pairs of gloves I have had. I also used them for moving recently, they hardly hinder dexterity at all and provide a better grip of things. At the same time, your hands don't feel staved of air when wearing them for long periods of time.

I bought these for my husband for either his December birthday or Christmas.. don't remember which. He loves them! They fit him very well and he says they are easy to get on and off. And they're warm! We have had some REALLY cold weather here in Oregon this winter, plus we live on a lake where the north wind blows a lot which brings the wind chill way down. He says the gloves keep his hands toasty warm but not too hot and he would definitely recommend them.
These gloves are well worth the price. Use em for splitting and cutting firewood in the fridged cold. It was -26 the other day and they kept my hands warms during movement. But once I stopped moving my hands, they got cold. Not really surprising tho. It was freakin cold out. For the price, they are well worth it.
Used these 2 winters now for jockeying trailers around at night, seem to be warm enough to crank landing gear or slide tandem even in the wet, not good for dexterity work. Good price point. As far as waterproof they are resistant, if you're always in rain for hours ,I would look elswhere,but ok for jumping in and out of the tractor and grabbing a cold wet handle. Leather finally wore through a week ago. It's ok winters over and 18 bucks gets another 2 years
I purchased these to keep my hands warm while refueling aircraft in Alaska in the dead of Winter. So far, they have kept my hands toasty warm and dry where other gloves either do not allow my hands to breath and they start to sweat, or they aren't warm enough. These work very well. The dexterity isn't the greatest since they are fairly thick, and they do slip off my hands if I am not gripping something, or if I need to grab something small. Overall, I would buy them again, but they could use a strap to tighten them down on your wrist; only reason for 4/5 instead of 5/5
Like many other reviewers, I find the pinky digit just a little too long. Other than that, they're very comfortable and easily the warmest gloves I've used in this price point. They do soak easily, losing dexterity and becoming heavy - they're true waterproof though and keep your hands dry during work.
