Mechanix Wear - Original Work Gloves (Small, Yellow)

Mechanix Wear - Original Work Gloves (Small, Yellow)

You can really tell a cheap work glove from a quality one. I use these gloves every time I do yard work or car maintenance. They hold up great and feel great on my hands. I'll always make sure I've got some Mechanix gloves lying around when work needs to get done.

I used to use the leather palm type of gloves for working (mechanic), they would start to get dirty and greasy, at which point I would figure they wouldn't last much longer. Once that point was reached I would not be careful about keeping them clean. Soon after that, they would get saturated with grease, or get a hole rendering them worthless.

These are a synthetic leather and seem to last forever. I've welded in them, got them super greasy then wiped them off, then continued using and abusing them. I bought another pair to replace them thinking they would get a hole pretty soon. That second pair is still sitting in my tool box unused. The first pair is about 2 years old now, but I don't use them every day. Only when I need the cushioning or splinter protection.

So the advantages are, paying a more now for these compared to buying multiple leather pairs. Much better dexterity and feel compared to the leather. Easy on and off. I've even had leather ones give me sort of a hand fungus (jock itch of the hand?).

Disadvantages, number one is cost. But if you look, you can find them for [...] bucks. They're not made for welding, so don't pick up something hot. I burned a pin hole in one of the fingers accidently touching the mig wire. Don't get the camo ones. If you leave them sitting somewhere, they'll camoflouge themselves, and get easily lost. My first pair I got blue, second bright yellow.

I replaced the control arms and front brake pads in my 2006 PT Cruiser. It was a messy job. I was a mess all over from crawling around under the car and on the floor, but these kept my hands clean and didn't have a scrape on them after I got done.

High praise given that you usually have to bleed on such a project to make it worth doing. ;)

These are my favorite gloves. I use them when I am doing work around the house and don't want to cut or hurt my hands. The gloves are lightweight and comfortable but durable too. Everyone should have a pair!!

I have large hands. I can span nearly eleven keys on a standard piano. I had real trouble finding any garden gloves that would fit. If they weren't too small they were saggy and shapeless. These gloves are snug and breath well. I wore through one pair doing yardwork in about a year, and bought a second. The velcro wrist cinch is comfortable and does not chafe.

I bought the yellow gloves because they happened to be the cheapest. It also makes them easy to find on a shelf.

100% in every way + the seller was accommodating, fast, efficient AAA++ when I needed to return size Medium (my error in not ordering LG in the first place) and received size LG very speedily!! My husband LOVES these gloves. They offer pretty good comfort plus the nice bright yellow allows them to be easily located!!

Although they aren't insulated, I have been using them for winter gloves. So far they have held up well in the ice and snow. I have also spilled a lot of gasoline on them and they have dried quickly without leaving much of a gas smell.

This is a durable, well fitting product that is unaffected by exposure to the variety of fluids and lubricants to which they are exposed. They also provide excellent grip and protection from cuts and grime. I was reluctant to use gloves for automotive work due to my reliance on sense of feel and need of dexterity. These gloves allow me a considerable degree of both.

Great gloves for yard work where you need to retain some tactile feel but also want to protect your hands from bumps and scrapes. Of course they can be used for other purposes where the same needs exist. I like them because they fit well and achieve the two goals I have for them.

These are nice. I have done a little work on our cars so far with them and it's nice to have the tacky grip, but you do lose a bit of feel. I got one saturated in motor oil and it cleans up really well.

PROS; nice fit, tacky grip, impact protection, ... it's a glove.

CONS; you lose a bit of fine feel.

3M WorkTunes Hearing Protector with AM/FM

3M WorkTunes Hearing Protector with AM/FM Radio

3M WorkTunes Hearing Protector with AM/FM Radio

I have owned 3M WorkTunes Wireless Hearing Protector with Bluetooth Technology and AM/FM Digital Radio (90542-3DC) since May 2016.

You will eventually need replacement ear pads, mine lasted a year or so with heavy use. I looked here and at 3M's site for replacement ear pads but could not find the part number so I called 3M 1-888-364-3577 and was offered complimentary replacements free of charge shipped to my door. I asked for the part number assuming next time I would be on my own but was told 3M does not sell them however they will always send replacement ear pads free of charge. Works for me. Poke your finger in through the inside hole of the earpad, get your finger behind the black plastic ring, and gently snap it out. The earpad is attached to the black plastic ring and it snaps on and off.

Great service from 3M and worktunes are a decent product imo that gets the job done but needs some improvement from the bluetooth side of things which is how I use these.

I frequently work with loud tools and equipment such as circ saws, miter saws, chainsaws, lawn equipment, table saw, too many more to list. I listen to podcasts while I work so my worktunes are always connected to my phone via bluetooth. The hearing protection is outstanding and I can go full throttle with my husqvarna 350 while listening to whatever provided the volume output from my phone is 100% which I then adjust the volume from there on the worktunes, and the worktunes are adjusted properly so that the earpads are sealing flat to your head over your ears.

Worktunes are far better than earbuds for listening to what you want to hear over a loud tool, but if you use bluetooth from your phone earbuds with a mic make it far easier to make and receive phone calls. There is no mic on these 3M worktunes. Get a phone call while your worktunes are connected to your phone via bluetooth and things get tricky, it's a pita and best to avoid trying to answer. Here's what happens: the worktunes go silent, you have to grab your phone to see who it is and if you answer it you listen through the worktunes and speak into the phone, if you hit speakerphone accidentally or the other person can't hear you then you're ripping the worktunes off your head. My earbuds that have a mic can answer and end a call with the push of a button on them, beforehand the phone number is called out so I can decide whether or not to answer, it's dead simple and it could be that way for these worktunes if they had a mic, the worktunes already have plenty of butttons. Too many and in the wrong places.

Whoever decided to place the power/volume/go back to beginning button where it sits on the left side front needs to spend a few days with the people this product was designed for. The name of the product is WORKtunes which in itself implies the user will be working with something that is loud and presumably heavy. Those of us that have rough hands know all too well that weilding heavy objects leads to profuse sweating and we sometimes turn our heads and wipe the sweat from our brow on our shirt sleeve. I accidentally hit that button that sticks out a mile at least a few times a day and it resets whatever I'm listening to to the beginning of the track. If I don't accidentally press that button something I'm working around will. I rarely hit my head at work but these monsters seem to make your head twice as big, you might even be tempted to fly a helicopter with these on.

I use rechargeable batteries and reliably get at least a full day, usually 2-3 days of use.

If the bluetooth fails to connect even after it's paired or you walk out of range and lose connection things can sometimes get squirrely to reconnect. It gets frustrating but the procedure that always works done in this order: is to turn off the work tunes, turn off your phone, turn phone back on make sure bluetooth is on, then turn on the worktunes and it should connect itself but you may have to go into bluetooth settings on your phone and manually connect to worktunes.

All that said learning the quirks of using these has been worth it to me. I reach for them when it's time to do some busy work with loud tools, definitely for the hearing protection. I like the fact these 3M worktunes have user replaceable batteries, that 3M sends out replacement earpads free of charge, and that I can connect to my phone through bluetooth for wireless convenience.

You pays your money and you takes your choice.

Before placing an order for this EarMuff WorkTunes, I read a lot of comments and viewed their images. It seems that quiet a lot of people had problem with no sounds or not working. I was little bit skeptical, but the number of comments and stars for this item just screamed at me. So, I figured that it looks like a lot of people bought this WorkTunes. So, it can't be that bad. I am glad I bought it. I will tell you why.

PRO:
-Instructions that came with it was short and simple especially with voice-assist it was very easy.
-It has Bass Boost - 1 to 2. :) ME LOVE IT.
-It almost completely shut-off outside noises. With music on, you can't hear anything.
-It nicely and tightly fits my head. I wore it with my cap on doing my yard work. Amazing - couldn't even hear my lawn mower running only 7 feet away.
-The whole unit is lightweight.
-For those who are saying there is not much sound coming out, I one point had it full volume by accident and it was loud. I am guessing it depends on the radio station too. The closer the radio station the clear and louder it is.
-Reception was Awesome. It picked up over 20 radio stations.
-I never had any headset like this for working outside. Wow, it was a whole new experience. I didn't feel like I was working at all with my favorite songs playing.
-Do you have MP3 player or cellphone with lots of your favorite songs? well, then you can connect your device to this EarMuff using male to male jack and listen to your favourite songs... No need to listen radio... :)

CON:
It doesn't say which side is which - RIGHT or LEFT - anywhere on the unit.
I wore my WorkTune. So, the ON/OFF and Volume Knob would be in the front. I noticed that as I was moving around my left shoulder sometime accidentally turned the volume up. :)

Other than that I am VERY VERY VERYYYYYYYYY happy with my WorkTune.

My friend had a pair of these and after letting me try them on, I had to have them. You don't realize how loud your lawn equipment is until you use your decibel screaming lawn equipment with these bad boys on. As others have stated, it pays to read the instructions. You won't get a solid working knowledge of how to work the FM stations without them. If you plug in an aux cord to play music off your phone there's no need to even turn the volume knob to turn the headphones on. They'll come on by themselves and use the volume on your phone. There's an auto-shut down if the headphones aren't being used for a certain period of time, so it won't run the battery down if you forget to turn them off.

I recommend wearing the headphones by themselves if you plan on having the noise-canceling portion work. If you create any kind of gap between your ears and the headphones you'll be sure to find a glitch in the matrix, as in, no noise-canceling. I was able to wear sunglasses but only after putting on the headphones and then sliding the sunglasses well above my ears. It's kind of uncomfortable but beats having the death rays from the sun burning my retinas.

The noise-canceling effect you get is amazing. I can use lawn equipment and listen to a podcast without feeling like I'm straining to hear what's being said. Your ears will thank you when you're finished, too, having skipped out on being blasted by the high decibel levels power and lawn equipment makes. If it's hot outside your ears are going to sweat, but the headphones can be easily wiped down with a cleaner.

Using the instructions provided, I was able to get most of the FM stations in my area to work, with crystal clear audio. The headphones fit snug, easily adjust, aren't heavy, and are just the kind of good quality I would expect from 3M.

Do I look like a doofus riding around on my lawn mower? Sure. But it can't be worse than the clunky headgear teenagers are calling headphones nowadays.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I have a big pasture I have to mow with my Kubota Diesel Tractor. The tractor and the bush-hog on the back are pretty loud. This headset blocks out all that noise. I can listen to the stereo and since the muffs do such a great job of blocking the noise, I don't have to crank up the volume very high. I listened to a talk radio show and heard every single word flawlessly and my hearing isn't the best. The range of the stereo is sufficient. I can't get all that many stations in my rural area. I have not tried the blue-tooth feature yet but the voice when you turn it on says "Blue Tooth Connected" so it is picking up my cell phone. The stereo works so great, I'm not sure how much I will be using the blue-tooth. I mowed for 5 hours with the AA batteries that I installed and they have yet to run out, so not having a recharging feature doesn't appear to be an issue. You can pick up a 30 pack of batteries at any Dollar store for hardly anything so I'm not really concerned about that. In fact, I don't like units with a recharging feature. If you forget to plug them back in when you are done, now you can't use them till you get them charged up. With batteries, you just drop in a set of new batteries and start mowing right away. I would expect a set a batteries would last for a long time. All you are doing is playing a small radio. I doubt if it uses hardly any battery life at all. These are very comfortable. Once I have them on and tuned in, I forget they are even there.

These are awesome. Surprisingly good sound quality, batteries last forever, super comfy, durable, easy to use even with heavy gloves on. What more could you ask for? The best protective equipment is the stuff you're not itching to take off the moment you're done with the tool, right? The less you WANT to wear something, the more likely you are to neglect wearing it when you should. These... These I'd like to leave on just about all the time. Podcasts and music while mowing the lawn? yes please. Run the table saw and/or compressor without missing a beat? yup. And I have worn them for 6+ hours without getting a headache, itchy, or any other form of uncomfortable.

EDIT/UPDATE . April 3 2018 My Worktunes Bluetooth stopped working. AM and FM worked fine, the announcer stated that it had switched to BT but it wouldn't pair or play. None of my devices could see the Worktunes either. I emailed their customer support and with a few questions, they sent me a shipping label, I mailed off my headset and was told they'd either repair or replace them since I was inside the warranty period. I got a notice that they sent out a new pair for me! No charge even for shipping. 3M customer service made a very disappointing situation into an EXCELLENT one. I love my headset and I am now a big fan of 3M's customer service as well.

Opened it up but had to leave quickly so just popped it on and flipped through the dial. Wow, so angry that almost no stations were received and recalled bad reviews about that. Got home the next day and popped it on again but this time read the instructions too and what an amazing difference. Apparently you need to allow it to search for stations before being able to manually flip through them. Guess what, after following the instructions this terrible piece of garbage turned into the best channel reception of any portable radio that I have ever owned. Don't buy this unless you plan to read the instructions because this is not something that can be figured out without them but if you are willing to read the instructions then this is the best ever headphone radio with 24db noise blocking. I am now listening to stations that I had previously given up on due to poor reception. The product says that it has improved reception and that is no lie!

I have a wood shop with a radio and earbuds. While looking for an earbud extension I stumbled across AM/FM hearing protection and decided on these after reading reviews. They are very comfortable, provide good noise protection, and the music is so clear I can hear things I'd never noticed before (e.g. background symbols and subtle vocals). I wish I'd known of these years ago. In my basement occasionally while moving there WAS an instant or so of noise but it's the same as I've noticed while driving cars. When I pulled the antenna out, as pictured, this problem was gone. When I put my batteries (2AA not included) in it seemed to be defective so I pulled them, checked them with a meter, and installed them again and everything was fine. I learned from this that the batteries are tight and you need to hear them click in. It makes sense since they are on your moving head. The unit is easy to get the hang of. There are several buttons and a knob to control volume, tuning, and mode. You can program a station or let it run through automatically and pick 25 for both AM and FM.

Better than expected! They cancel outside noise and bring in radio stations clearly. My wife uses them when riding the lawn tractor, and operating the log splitter. Indoors she uses them when she vacuums to cancel noise, but because they are comfortable to wear she often wars them around the house now...just to listen to music. They're almost too good, because I have to hit her with a pillow to get her attention! You neeed these!

Got these for my husband as he works construction and often listens to podcasts. He says they give good ear protection (pro, as compared to other bluetooth headsets). He does say that they tend to throttle the sound a bit, although using his device, he can increased it some. If you're doing something REALLY noisy (table saw, chain saw, for example) he says it's a bit hard to hear.

NOTE: This headset does NOT receive calls or allow you to make calls. We did find that a phone call will mute this headset, and turn off whatever he's listening to. For us, I just wanted something that would let him know that he needed to call me back, so this is sufficient "notification" that he might be missing a call. Not sure about the muting working for texts or not. Only recommendation would be that phone calls ring to the headset and/or being able to make calls on it.

I was on the fence about these. I work in autobody so anything that lets me not be conscious of how slow time can go is a plus. Grinding, buffing, etc. I'm only 39 and I can tell I'm going deaf. I need to turn the tv up twice as loud as my wife needs it just for it to be normal to me. becoming deaf is a serious thing. Like I get on my son, he needs to speak up to be heard, but I also tell him that I'm going deaf and hes only 10 so i'm sure he takes it as "Whatever dad," or something and blows it off. So I don't like getting on him, but I can't hear him.

So like I said, becoming deaf or anything from a job you do because you need to pay the bills is a serious thing. I say this because I used to be great at hearing. These things aren't great. Plus, I can over power how loud I should play INTO these things because I can go louder than 100% on my phone. Then they get loud enough for me to hear. Like really hear.

So... my analysis of this item is that you trade one thing for the other. I do... NOT hear grinding and annoyingly loud things and my bosses monotone "We need to get this done." I instead hear(at the same volume or larger(because its literally right next to your ear blaring in it)) music, or a podcast, that I like. I now wonder if these are making me go deaf faster than the grinder would?

Either way, i still like these and wouldn't trade them to anyone. I'm glad I bought them. I would not spendy 80. I got them for 60. I feel thats fair because only difference between these and headphones are these deafen outside nosises(makes them about half-ish). I've gotten through a good number of audio books, sorting my "discover weekly" playlist on spotify, etc. Totally through the 60 I paid for them. If i made more 80 would be worth it too but I knew they flucuated at the time I bought them(2016ish).

- Note;

Battery life is good. I could listen to these things maybe... 2-3 days straight(so 3x8=24 hours?) and maybe longer, 4-5, without having to change them. I listen to this maybe an hour or two a day, depending what I'm doing and I can use them like almost a month without changing the batteries. *User experiences may vary but seriously.

I'd recommend them if your thinking about them.

Mechanix Wear M-Pact Fingerless

Mechanix Wear M-Pact Fingerless Black/Grey

Mechanix Wear M-Pact Fingerless Black/Grey

One of the things that I like to do is shoot for both recreational purposes as well as for self-defense practice. No matter how often you shoot or how well you shoot you eventually start to get a little recoil sensitive after a few magazines... especially when you are shooting physically small, but large caliber, handguns. These gloves are fantastic in helping soak up the recoil and continue shooting while the "fingerless-ness" keeps the trigger and grip as close as possible to what you would feel without the gloves on. It also keeps your ability to control the trigger as exactly as if you weren't wearing any gloves. The reason I bring that up is something most people don't think about, the feel of the gun in your hand. Concealed Carry, and by extension Every Day Carry (EDC), considerations should be kept in mind... your best practice is with the gear you are most likely to in or using if you-know-what hits the fan... and I seriously doubt you'll be wearing gloves at the time.

I could not say enough other than a full five stars.

I have been looking for a pair of good shooting gloves, a pair that will work well on all shotgun, pistol, rifle, etc. I got the expensive Oakley which is same as Military used. Too thick on fingers that I could barely fit my index finger into the 1911's trigger guard. Then I got the Mechanix Original Vent by a friend's suggestion. It is nice and cool, but the hand padding is thin and more important, the fingers are way too loose. it will only fit my fingers when they got sting by bees I guess.

I was worried about the thickness of this since it has impact protection on back, and thick padding on palm. But I find it quite suitable for shooting purpose. Open finger tip let me to feel trigger as bare hands, and the finger part wraps around my fingers pretty well. Palm is a bit thick when shooting pistols IMHO, but it is good protection if you feel hurt or cut when shooting 1911 (many ppl complaint about palm safety while I felt cut on my thumb safety), and extremely well when shooting an AR with thumb over holding (i.e. when your palm is above the gas port). Shot 120-150 shots rapidly without feeling anything. But darn its hot when I touch it with bare hand.

Will suggest it to any other shooters.

For my day job I work as a merchandiser for a big soda company and, as such, I pull between 12-24 pallets a day and over 10,000lbs of product. Doesn't sound like much but the constant lifting of product in cardboard boxes and dirty pallet jacks wear tremendously on one's hands and the risk of having your fingers smashed is always present.

I used to wear cheap carpenter's gloves that did OK for a while but they didn't provide adequate protection for my knuckles or decent grip. I've always heard good things about Mechanix gloves from a very diverse group of people from carpenters, laborers, and even members of the US Armed Forces, who use them as shooter's gloves. Good enough for me!

I settled for the Mechanix M-Pact finglerless gloves and, after three months of constant use, I found that they work wonderfully in some areas but not so much in others.

Pros: What I like most is that they fit well. I am 6'5 with proportionately sized hands so I use 2XL gloves and they fit great. They feel tight at first but only took two days before they felt like another extension of my hands. I also like how the rubber finger and knuckle guards protect my hands from impact damage (hence the name) as my hands get hit by product daily. The underside material helps grip product fairly well and makes pulling pallets a lot easier.

Cons: However, there are two issues I have with the gloves the first being insulation/smell. The gloves feel air-tight and my hands sweat a lot as a result. After the massive sweating my hands begin to smell as do the gloves necessitating regular washing, and they seem to do well in the washer (I wash them separately with no detergent or bleach). The best solution is constant cleaning and get multiple pairs. Like shoes, you should never wear the same pair everyday to keep the wear down.

My other complain is the velcro strap as it went out in less than a month. It worked great at first but now they do not hold at all and I had to get used to the feeling that it was about to fall off since the strap is under and not over the wrist like most other gloves. Again, this is alleviated by having multiple pairs to avoid accelerated wear.

All in all, the M-Pact gloves are a real deal as they provide great protection for your hands but at a VERY reasonable cost.

First off, I liked the looks of these. I also liked the semi-rubber ridges covering the knuckles of fingers and hands. They were a perfect fit. I`m using these gloves as a protection against the sharp edges of my quad rail system on my AR15. These work great! Of course the cut off finger tips leave me access of my fingers for scope adjustment and rifle operations such as trigger pull, light and laser operation etc. They are very comfortable for all day use. They were shipped IMMEDIATLY!!! No problems whatsoever with these gloves. I`m sure they would not last long as a glove for a construction or a labor type job, that`s why they make leather gloves. I noticed the only complaints were from people (dummies) who used them as construction worker gloves. All in all, a great glove for sporting purposes, shooting, archery, baseball, etc. etc. I highly recommend them.

I will update this review over the next year or until product dies, whichever happens first. To summarize: I work in a warehouse packing, shipping, strapping pallets and building hydroponic systems.

Jan 2, 2016
First impression: my god are they comfy. Not too loose and not too snug just the perfect fit. Fingerless is awesome, can't wait to test them out on Monday.

Jan 5, 2016
48 hours into the glove at normal work speed and it is perfect. Fingerless leaves my fingers able to pick up small bolts while the overall hand protection keeps me from scraping my hands up all over the pallets. Great grip!

these gloves are great, especially for the price. they're not perfect. i tried finding similar gloves with full fingers, but they didn't fit for shooting gloves (the impact protection was better though). you can't beat these gloves for the price. go ahead and buy a pair, you may have to replace them sooner than 5.11 or BLACKHAWK! gloves, but you could get 3 pairs of these for the price of those and you'd come out better getting new gloves more often and still spending less as if you're not just wearing these for show, you will probably be replacing them often anyways. i just wish they came in all black and came in a CAMO option. the tag is stupid and so is the yellow lettering and white lettering/designs. just make them in all black and in camo and you'll get people to buy more. also, the fit is a little tight and/or awkward when shooting for a long time (the area of the gloves between your thumb & index finger is not designed/made perfectly to accomodate shooting a rifle or handgun)

When I saw these come out, I had to try them. I had been wearing the Framers gloves for years. But just as it is difficult to do everything with all five digits fully dressed, framers and other tradesmen found letting a few digits operate in the buff gets the work done faster, while still protecting the rest of the hand. Well, will the need to operate all these electronic gadgets more frequently, I find myself still having to take the gloves off to expose those remaining lesser digits.

Here is the answer my friends. You get all of that Mechanix Wear protection, with their bumpers and pads, where they will take the majority of the beatings, leaving the ends of our precious digits exposed -- just enough to get the digit-al work done. (sorry for the pun)

I have worn Mechanix brand gloves for many years. I first began wearing them on active duty during my deployments in the Middle East and they served me well. I had been looking for a glove that provided protection while also allowing me to maintain tactile functioning in my fingers. I decided to check these out since I already trust the Mechanix brand and they did not disappoint. I have been primarily using these gloves for shooting at the range. they are very comfortable and allow me to maintain the touch sensitivity I desire while handling firearms. The only request I would make for these gloves would be to have a greater selection of color/patterns for the fingerless variety.

Awesome gloves. I work with my hands all day, but require my fingers for typing a lot at a computer and these are, by far, the BEST fingerless gloves I've ever tried. My co-workers are looking into getting them now too...

****UPDATE****
After having used these for a couple of months now, I will say that while they are still in one piece, the velcro strap is horrible. It no longer adhere's to itself. I even attempted to wash the gloves to try and get some of its elasticity back, but the velcro is straight up garbage. I would consider getting a different pair of gloves if you wear them on a daily basis like I do.

Awesome glove. I was scared the medium/large size would be too small because I wear the large gloves for Mechanix but these are great. They feel nice. I recommend them definitely. Good glove.

EDIT: After a few months(January 2014), It seems the velcro has become absolutely useless. When I first got them, the velcro wasn't great but it was usable. I haven't seen this problem in any other gloves I have from Mechanix. It's literally the only negative but it's big enough to make them useless to me now.
Would I buy these again? Maybe not these fingerless gloves but I still by Mechanix Original.

Mechanix Wear - Original Grip Work Gloves (X-Large, Black)

Mechanix Wear - Original Grip Work Gloves (X-Large, Black)

Bought these to use for a demolition project helping my son with a fixer upper. Have been using for about six months tearing down sheet rock, insulation, flooring. They protect my hands from splinters and all the small cuts you usually get from this type of project. They fit well, sizing chart was right on. They show no signs of wear and fit so well it is almost like not wearing a glove. I use a similar pair for shooting in cold weather.

By far my favorite Mechanix branded gloves. Great grip without a lot of loss of dexterity. I like these in the garage, and for yard work, but I liked them so much that I bought extra pairs to use for biking gloves, great grip on the bars and brake levers. They work great, wet, dry and even dusty. You can tell I love them because of the way I freak out when I need them and can't find a pair. :) 5 star favorites.

Great gloves. This is my second pair. They grip very well without sacrificing dexterity. I only wish they lasted longer. I wear them every day for work, and the grips tend to rub off over time. Regardless, they are great for the small price point, and I recommend them. I will buy again when this pair wears out.

I ordered these because I have to work with things that can be hard to handle and they work great. I used a regular pair of Mechanix gloves and they worked fine but I wanted more grip. Finger dexterity is fine and doesn't hinder movement at all.
The only warning I have is the size. My Mechanix originals are medium and fit no problem but these are just a little tighter on the hands. Then again I haven't used them extensively yet to completely break them in.
In short a must have and I will probably order another pair.

I love these gloves. They work great and are durable for light to medium use. I use them for shooting, yard work and carrying boxes. They are used often but not daily so I cannot comment on how well they would work for daily use. I think they're worth the money and recommend them to anyone that wants a good grip glove that's comfortable.

I love them. Super grippy. Its like the surface of a basketball on your hands which is good and a bad thing at the same time. Depending of what do you use them for. I can even do flags with them, thing that with any other gloves would be impossible. Although when doing muscle ups or any other work like that they tend to be too grippy

i got the mediums which fit tight right away then stretch out over a short time and fit great. my hands are about 8.75". finger length is average to shorter so large tend to not fit my hand with the finger length being a hair to long. super nice grip on these. i wore them for a short ride yesterday in 48 degree temps. they did ok for what they are.

100% recommend these. I bought these as a Christmas gift for my fiancee and he LOVES them. He is a merchandiser for Pepsi. Jes told me multiple times how they help him grip the heavy cases and help prevent them from slipping out of his hands. A little snug at first but after he used them for a couple days he couldnt stop raving about them.

No other glove has felt and fit so nicely for me. Whether it's working on my car or helping friends move. Having a good grip makes it easier to work one less thing to be frustrated about. I definitely recommend any Mechanix gloves.

Wearing these is like becoming a gecko; they help you grip anything and everything. I wear them while rock climbing, lifting weights (especially while doing chest workouts), and even for handstands and pushup sets. I've used them almost daily since I bought them months ago and they have yet to wear in the slightest. Highly recommended.

ThxToms 932°F Heat Resistant and Level 4 Cut Resistant Kevlar Work Gloves 15

I need a highly heat resistant glove for firing ceramic kilns. We use them to remove the plugs from the peep holes in the kiln door to check the firing temperature. As the kiln's internal temperature is just over 2000 degrees at its maturation point, you need something that will not melt or allow your hands to be burned as you handle the plugs. I just completed a firing yesterday and these gloves were perfect - there was no transference of heat to my hands and no damage to the exterior of the gloves from the red hot kiln plugs I was handling. I am very happy with this product for my purposes.

The gloves are great best ones we have found so far. Can’t feel the heat

I use these gloves to move components of my biochar kiln around when the fire is going. They've stood up to some heat and crud so far. They work as advertised and were a reasonable price. We'll see how well they hold up to frequent use over the next months.

Just wanted to state that I am very pleased with the level of service from this seller. My first pair of gloves started to separate at the seam between the thumb and fore finger a week after receiving them and the seller sent a new pair immediately. I use the gloves to open the door to my wood burning stove and they offer outstanding heat protection. I would certainly recommend these gloves!

These gloves are great for flame working and other types of glass blowing. I use these to take pieces in and out of the kiln with no issues. Shipping was quick and accurate.

KEVLAR

Kevlar called Aramid fiber, is a new hi-tech synthetic fiber. It perform good of ultra-high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistant, acid and alkali resistance, low weight and so on. 6 times strength than steel wire, 3 times modulus than steel wire and fiberglass, 2 times tenacity than steel wire and its weight only about 1/5 of the steel wire. Under the 1040°F temp will not be decomposed and melted. It has good insulation and anti-aging performance with a long life cycle. The discovery of Kevlar is considered to be a very important historical process.

Mechanix Wear - FastFit Work Gloves (Medium,

Mechanix Wear - FastFit Work Gloves (Medium, Blue)

Mechanix Wear - FastFit Work Gloves (Medium, Blue)

I absolutely hate gloves. Never in my life have I had a pair I like. I have a box that must have twenty pairs. Until I bought these.... This pair of Mechanic gloves fit perfectly. My hands don't feel restricted and I can pick up and grip anything. My hands do not get hot or sweaty wearing these. I can work on my old Beetles engine and feel every part and handle everything as if I was using bare hands. The fingers fit perfectly with a no excess or shortness. The material is top notch and the stitching is perfect. I purchased a pair of large and I feel I have average size hands. I plan on buying more pairs for gardening and shooting. These are simply the most amazing gloves on the market. If you hate wearing gloves, or you need to with your job, these are the ones you want. .

I bought a pair last summer, and I've just returned here to buy at least 3 more pair. For what they're made for, nothing could be better. They aren't going to keep your hands warm in very cold weather, but they aren't designed to. The thin leather makes handling things almost as easy as not having gloves on. I can do all sorts of chores around the house and shop in cold weather, and they work great. You can easily handle small objects. They're great for handling firewood. I also use them in glassblowing, and again it's like not having gloves on, except they provide more protection than you might think for such a thin glove. They fit very well, and they slip on and off easily. When they're on, they're like having a second thick skin. I've typed on a computer with them. I can take my wallet out of my pocket and insert or remove bills easily. Being such thin leather, they aren't going to last as long as heavier gloves, but they're SO much more handy than any other gloves I own. I just can't say enough good things about these gloves. Once you've got them wet a couple times, the leather acts like a chamois and will immediately soak up any moisture they come in contact with. But they dry out nicely and continue to wear and fit superbly even after many wet/dry cycles. Even in our long cold NH winter, I've worn these all winter long and only switch out for heavier gloves when I am doing extended outdoor work. I've got lots of work gloves; cotton with rubber dots, cowhide insulated & uninsulated, pigskin, you name it. I've also got similar gloves with a bit heavier leather and velcro wrist straps. These are much better, both for the feel and for being quicker and easier to put on and off. Once they're on, they stay on very nicely. These are my favorite and most versatile gloves by far.

I do all my own work on my car in some stupid conditions. A month ago i changed the thermostat on my Jeep outside when it was 30 degrees outside. Granted that's not subzero, but these gloves surprising kept my hands decently warm and still able to tight screws by hand and do some pretty nimble tasks. From other reviews I read I was surprised by how warm they kept my hands and how much tactile feel they do remove. Don't get me wrong these are not a winter work glove and these do keep much more tactile feel than other gloves, but reading other reviews you would think they were a second skin. I would really recommend the 'Fast Fit' style as well because I always have tasks I need to take them on and off for working on cars. All in all these are excellent gloves and well worth the ten dollars I paid for them. They seem pretty durable as well. But we shall see!

Great work glove would buy again. Probably not the most durable if your working with abrasive things, but they protect my hands well.

BUT THESE XL GLOVES MUST BE FOR SMALL PEOPLE, I CAN GET THEM ON BUT VERY LITTLE FINGER MOVEMENT BECAUSE THERE TOO TIGHT.

Feature Product

  • Gloves/Anti-Vibration & Mechanics Gloves
  • Mechanix Wear Medium Black And Blue FastFit Full Finger Synthetic Leather Mechanics Gloves With Elastic Cuff, Spandex Padded Back, Stretch Panels
  • Made in: United States

Description

Professionals and enthusiasts agree – the FastFit is a toolbox must-have. Form-fitting stretch panels between your fingers provide a snug fit and the elastic cuff offers easy on/off flexibility between tasks. The anatomically designed two-piece palm eliminates material bunching for an exceptional fit when working with hand tools. Breathable TrekDry material form-fits the back of your hand and helps keep them cool and comfortable as you work through the day.

I leave these in my car and come in handy when I need to do anything on my car in the cold or not. I work in an office so I don’t want to get my work clothes dirty with oil and such so I make sure to use these gloves if anything comes up

These are great gloves I use them every day that’s why I keep reordering them.

Don't confuse the words "tactical" with "tactile". These gloves are thin to provide finger friendly feel when working any project. They provide excellent basic protection against cuts, scraps, dirt, and "warm" (not hot) objects. They'll also work as base layer for cold weather (I wear a heavier set of gloves over top of these for additional warmth). They're a good glove for 90% of everyday needs. They are not waterproof and will absorb liquid. However you can using nitrile/latex gloves over/under these gloves. I recommend using the sizing chart and buying the correct size glove. Don't "man up" and buy a glove too big for your hand.

These are the "Fast Fit", so no Velcro straps to wear out after a month!

These "synthetic leather" gloves are the best thing since sliced bread. The gloves withstand abuse better than any leather work gloves I have ever owned. They are also totally immune to getting wet. Just let them dry out overnight and good to go. They don't get stiff like real leather work gloves do. In fact you can put them in the washer.
The only down side is that they are not good with welding or really hot stuff - they will melt.

I bought these gloves to prevent metal shavings from entering the skin of my hands when working with metal. They do a pretty good job and you can still feel things through the gloves. I can even navigate the touchscreen of my smartphone with them on. I would recommend these to anybody who wants to keep metal from getting in their hands and to people who don't want the isolated feeling you get with most gloves.

Grease Monkey Pro Fingerless all purpose work gloves and workout

Grease Monkey Pro Fingerless all purpose work gloves and workout gloves

Grease Monkey Pro Fingerless all purpose work gloves and workout gloves

I bought these gloves because I was looking for a pair of work gloves that would not tear apart in two uses. I worked in a warehouse and needed sturdy and breathable gloves to keep my hands from drying out and tearing. I bought these gloves because the price was right and other reviews were great, also because the gloves I got previously that were not fingerless made it difficult to do many of the tasks I was required to do. These gloves held up much longer than I expected and I am on my second pair after several months which is much more that I had expected at the beginning, the shrink wrap I was using to wrap pallets would wear out the pals of the gloves extremely quickly on other brands I tried, but not these ones. While they did eventually wear out, it took awhile of wear and tear to cause me to toss them out and buy another pair. I will continue to use these gloves as long as I have a need, and plan to buy a pair for friends and family for Christmas and other gift giving days.

I use these as work gloves. They hold up reasonably well, so I get my money's worth. If a pair of gloves can last a whole month doing what I do, then I'm satisfied, but these then to last longer than that. They also dry out faster than the all-leather fingerless gloves that I used to wear.
The only thing I don't like about them is the stupid rubber knuckle-pads. They start to come loose towards the front after a while, and then they hang up every time I reach into my pocket to get something. I keep having to trim any flappy areas so they won't do it as bad, but they still want to hang up on my pocket a lot.

These gloves are a great value, and after buying three pair and getting free shipping that was delivered today (SUNDAY!) it just doesn't get any better than this! Amazon has the best price on these gloves hands down. I'm in a wheelchair and I wear these gloves to protect my hands everyday. They hold up well and at this price I feel I have a never ending supply.I would recommend these gloves to anyone in a wheelchair that uses gloves for hand protection, much cheaper that the "medical supply" places, they out last Hatch gloves by far, they're just a great value for not a lot of money. I'm sure they're great to use as mechanic gloves too as them being finger less it's very easy to pick up small items.

Working around wood shop equipment and sharp edged hard wood these gloves have worked well.
Have a pair that were used every day for the last year and will need to replace - only reason is due to the Velcro is starting to not hold the cuff closed as much as I prefer.
The Velcro back allows for closing the cuff end to prevent sawdust from entering the glove. the fingers are snug but not too tight and for good finger dexterity which is great when working around shop equipment. found they help in keeping fingers mobile and warm in above freezing shop area. I do not recommend using in wet conditions or any leather glove in wet areas.

I first bought these three years ago and have been rebuying ever since. I am a smaller man so off the shelf gloves tend to be too big. I order the Medium size and by a new pair every 6-9 months.

I wear them daily in my job and couldn't imagine not having them on. They are comfortable. The backside is thinner material so they breath well and having my finger tips exposed is important so I can accomplish many different tasks without having to take them off.

They can take quite a beating and continue to last even when I've spilled various oils/chemicals on them.

I prefer these over other brands I have used, for instance Husky, because they are less bulky and take no time to conform to your hand and don't get caught in tight spaces like some of the bulkier gloves.

I have only had One pair out of all those that I purchased that had an issue when received but was rectified instantly.

The Grease Monkey Men's Pro fingerless gloves exposed fingertips provide perfect precision for tasks while maintaining durable protection. The exposed fingers allow users to have maximum feel and control when working under the hood.

I'm on about my tenth pair of these gloves. They fit me just the way I like. I use them for shop wear and for work out. I would not change the leather as it feels just right, but I do wear them out. I often get over 6 months of everyday lifting out of a pair of gloves (Note that I purposely pick worn knurls). Sharp knurls on work out bars wear out the fingers. Sliding the gloves over the edges of plywood will wear them out, but I often get 3 months out of a pair of gloves as I'm careful about things like sliding over the edge of plywood

Great gloves and very affordable. This is the only work glove I've found that's lasted more than 2 weeks in my line of work. Even still, they only last 3 - 4 weeks at best before they are in the trash. However, my job is very unforgiving on gloves, and anything that'll last more than 2 weeks under $10 is almost unheard of. For anyone else just doing minor work or less demanding work, these should hold up great for you. I would give 5 stars if they could consistently hold up a month in my job.

I ordered these for my son for Christmas. He saw them at Home Depot and wanted them, but they didn't have his size. He uses them when he rides his dirt bike and four wheeler. He also just likes the way they look. He is 12 years old and we ordered a Medium, and he is happy with the fit.

I got these for a friend who does mostly roofing with random home repair and remodeling jobs. He wanted gloves that were fingerless but that also had knuckle protection. These fit the bill and are working well. He got several pairs as roof shingles are very abrasive so even good gloves wear out fairly quickly.

Great for me to use with my wheel chair. I have had fingerless gloves and many types before but none that are like these. I had my hand catch in the wheel and no damage to my hand it padded it fully. These are the most durable fingerless gloves I have ever had.

Mechanix Wear - M-Pact 2 Covert Tactical Gloves (X-Large, Black)

Mechanix Wear - M-Pact 2 Covert Tactical Gloves (X-Large, Black)

I've been using these gloves for quite awhile, and they're perhaps the best set I've ever had. They fit well, not tight, not loose. They stay warm, maybe even too warm, even in the coldest environments. The various features, like finger protection and the wrist strap, serve to spoil the wearer; no other glove will measure up after trying these babies on. Some might consider these overkill for basic tasks, like raking leaves, shoveling snow, or moving equipment, but I'm a buy-it-for-life kind of guy and I'd rather have one durable, highly effective pair than a bunch of cheap pairs that rip, tear, or fail me.

We'll see how they hold up in the future, but for a day one impression, I'm loving the fit and finish of these gloves. I have a big hand and every standard work glove is a bit too small. With the sizing chart measurements I landed on the XXL... difference from other products... they actually fit perfectly. The design is excellent with the extra contours for the wrist that make the whole package feel like it was meant for you.

Eagerly waiting for a chance to use them in a sentence. I'll probably come back a year from now to give star #5.

Good gloves for truckers, shooters, and just about any other chore or hobby that requires hand protection. Yep, I will also use them for mountainbiking! I trust the brand and they are made with good materials. I lost my last pair and couldn't find a size small at my local Walmart but I am glad that I found it on Amazon. These are not cheap gloves but my hands are worth it! Pros: True to size. Great finger and knuckle protection. Protection in the palm and thumb section is good, (not to thick or thin.) Prime eligible and got it in two days. Cons: Price? How much are your hands worth? Priceless. Need I say more. Buy a pair. You wont regret it.

These guys did a good thing. The index finger structure is still now that I expected.
The cloth SHOULD NOT push with pressure under the index fingernail.
Designers should wear these gloves and press trigger 500 times before they pushing them into production. Only in such case they will feel the pain in index finger and redo the design.

I should remove some cloth by my own (with scissors) to avoid some painful pressure in under my fingernail.

got these gloves for myself and my guys.. i like the fact that they are all black and are tactical in that sense.. i have good gripping strength with them and once broken in you really dont notice them... i also use these to ride my sport bike and have to say they are very comfortable.. i have more expensive gloves that arent nearly as soft as these.. as for working with them.. variety of tasks.. pulling cable.. general abuse.. all kinds of mishaps.. and they offered just enough protection from a serious injury.. thats what gloves do, gotta save that skin.. i will say on the bad part of them the plastic knuckle savers started to rip off. but thats from use/abuse not from just wearing.. hence the four stars.. i have paws( size 5 in mil spec gloves) for hands and ordered the large.. taking a stab at the size.. they fit.. well like a glove.. a bit tight at first but once broken in. felt fine.. i would buy again. i did use them on a colder day to shoot with and they did work just fine kept the cold off my hands so i could concentrate on the targets. thats a big deal. good trigger feel and other controls. i didnt have to poke and hope for looking for a mag release because i couldnt feel it..

This is a good tool to have in your bicycling safety arsenal. I specifically chose this for Los Angeles commuter riding because, unlike other gloves, this one has decent padding for the palm side as well as ample padding for the back side including knuckles, fingers and some for the wrist. A lot of the gloves I researched had good to great padding for the palm but nothing for the back side, leaving it vulnerable to serious injuries in the event of an unfortunate fall or accident. I also like the fact that this is a full finger glove meaning protection for the entire finger and not just a part of it (especially for similar price). I prefer a little more gel padding for the palm and wrist areas as well as neon (lime green) highlights to help it stand out during the day for driver visibility as well. I realize that it was designed primarily for a mechanic and not for a bicyclist, but the features are a smart fit for an all around safety conscious commuter biking. (You have to protect yourself whether you look super cool or not. Hit-and-Run-ners won't stop to call 911 for you and pay for your insurance too!) No complaints about the gloves yet (4 weeks of use) whatsoever.
(And please, please wear your helmet to protect your head/brain! Risking your life/longevity just so you/your hair looks cool & sexy, may not be the smartest mobile public advertisement of yourself.)

Only gave four stars because the jury is still out on the durability of these gloves. Best part is the XXL size fit my large hands! Most XXL gloves are too small. For those of you with monster size hands, the XXXL size might be just right for you!

Now I started with going to a basic parts store and picking up a pair of the Mechanix Covert Black Original Glove to carry around for work. I liked the dexterity and how it allowed me to still be able to manipulate firearms and other tools of the trade.

One day I decided that I wanted some padding on my knuckle for work purposes. I saw these gloves and the approximately $30 price and decided I would try them. I have not been disappointed!

The padding on the knuckle area is a softer material and not the hard rubber that is found on some other gloves (Those will be my next purchase!) There are some hard pieces of rubber on the tops of the finger area and I have not found any problems with being able to manipulate or have found them getting in the way. The finger tips on the bottom of the gloves are a thicker leather feeling material, this seems like an added benefit for those picking up sharp objects and the such.

After going through two days of using an M4 I found the gloves performed flawlessly. There were no hang-ups and I enjoyed the comfort they offered me for that time. I will update this review as time permits.

Mechanix Wear gloves are a little pricey for what you get. They have a thin layer of material on the palms and fingers that do provide decent protection, but allow for great feeling and dexterity. I handle firearms on a regular basis and love using Mechanix gloves at the range, in course work, and (when necessary) on the job. These have plastic "ribs" on the fingers and back of the hand which give you extra protection. It doesn't interfere with manipulating a weapon or working with any tools.

Previously ordered this brand of gloves, but the fit on this one was larger than that of previously ordered gloves of the same size. Gloves are still useful though.

Mechanix Wear - Original Insulated Winter Gloves (Large,

Mechanix Wear - Original Insulated Winter Gloves (Large, Black)

Mechanix Wear - Original Insulated Winter Gloves (Large, Black)

I got these gloves to wear in the Philly winter for added dexterity over my denser winter gloves. My hands are roughly 8.5" from thumb to pinky outstreched, 3.75" across the palm and 7.5" from middle finger to base of palm. I like a very snug fit to have the most dexterity possible so I got these in a small. This is a nice medium weight glove for when there's a bit of a chill or if you're going to be outside and moving around enough to stay warm, but it doesn't have a ton of insulation.

The closure is very solid with the plastic part running 2/3 around the wrist so there's no way it'll come apart at a weak point right at the opening. The little triangle tab meant to clip the two gloves together for safe keeping is annoyingly placed so it constantly gets in the way of the hook and loop closure. I'm debating cutting off, but it would be nice to keep the pair together in the off season.

The palm isn't super grippy, but it provides a lot of dexterity. The thumb/index finger allow for smartphone usage.

I'm a big fan of Mechanix gloves and have worn several pairs through the years for general warmth as well as their dedicated work gloves for demo and carpentry work.

I bought these gloves for work. I use them for protection against cuts and splinters and also for extended periods in coolers and freezers. I was shocked that when I first used them in the freezer I had no numbness or loss of feeling in my fingers at all. I can be in the cooler for over an hour with the same effect. The insulation doesn't seem like much but it sure works. Also the protection is excellent though I wish they had a little bit more grip on them and the dexterity is excellent. I'm easily able to use a pen or pencil while wearing the gloves. The fit is great and the strap is well made , easy to use, and effective. It's not the first pair of Mechanix gloves I've had but it's by far the best.

I'm a mobile forklift technician by trade so I use these gloves almost daily during the winter months in PA. Forklifts don't always break indoors. I've been using this particular pair for a couple months now and find them well worth the money spent.

I've used Mechanix Wear gloves in the past and really haven't had any issues. I see several reviews that complain about sizing issues, not sure what that is about because I had absolutely no problem with the sizing. I do however have a problem with the velcro strap that fastens the glove to your hand. It's not very good. I want to stress that I don't know if Mechanix Wear actually uses Velcro brand, but whatever they use isn't very good. After a couple weeks of wear the stickiness sort of wears off and the strap doesn't hold very well.

Some great features of this glove is that they are very warm for the size of the glove. That is to say that the glove is thin in comparison to the warmth. I find them very warm, my hands don't get cold when working outside using these gloves and they are thin enough that I still have the feel in my fingers to handle small nuts and bolts. I was quite impressed with the warmth. When they arrived I figured they wouldn't be very warm because I noticed how thin they actually were for an insulated pair of gloves. If you work in Arctic conditions you may want to keep searching but I've used them in 20 and 30 degree weather and they are great.

They also wear like iron. I'm constantly handling sharp objects and parts and haven't noticed a rip or tear in the gloves. I have some other Mechanix Wear products and they also wear great, these didn't disappoint. So overall here are my Pro's and Con's:

Pro's:
Thin enough to still have feeling in your fingers to handle small parts
Warm enough to keep your hands warm on cold Northeast winter days
Wear like iron, no rips or tears after several months and I use them almost daily
Fit very well
Priced right

Con's:
Strap that holds the glove around your wrist doesn't last long. The "stickiness" wears off

Overall I would absolutely recommend these gloves for outdoor work of any kind. I'm very satisfied. The only reason for the four stars is due to the strap around the wrist not lasting very long.

Let me start off with my overall appraisal of these gloves: they're great! With that being said, they do have a few shortcoming as far as my particular needs, but you may find that they suit you perfectly as my situation isn't so common.

I work in a cold storage food service supply warehouse, with temperatures ranging from around -10°F to about 50°F, and for most of that range, they perform excellently. They "fit like a glove" so to speak, I normally wear a large, so I ordered a large and the fit was excellent. Snug but not constricting, making it easy to use the touchscreen on my phone and RF scanner gun, as I keep most of my dexterity and precision. My gripes about this glove, and there really isn't any way around some of these, are as follows:

Insulation is a bit thin, and in the really cold temps it almost seems like nothing is there, especially if my hands are anything but bone dry. I understand that insulation adds bulk and therefore reduces dexterity and adds weight, but I would trade off a bit for some higher performance insulation.

My biggest, and perhaps most easily remidied issue is this: the durability is not what I expected from a company that prides itself on making utility clothing for working hands-on professionals. My job entails working with my hands the entire time I am there, picking orders, moving cardboard and plastic boxes, bags, operating electric pallet movers and forklifts, and I have already work through the fingertips on two pairs of these gloves, one original and one fastfit. Once they're worn through, they're basically useless because there is nothing between your skin and the air, and the underlying material that shows through in some cases does not function with a touchscreen. I would absolutely love these gloves if they could stand up to even a bit more use before wearing out. I see people leave reviews saying "they lasted me two winters worth of outdoor work!" If that's the case, outdoor work must be shoveling snow and getting the mail, because after wearing through 2 pair's fingertips in about a month, I can say for sure that they don't stand up to actual working conditions. Until I find a better solution, I will keep buying these cheaply from Amazon Warehouse, as they're the best option I have found so far, and I would rather use something that works for my needs, but needs to be replaced more often, than use something that doesn't work for me but lasts longer. Just a personal preference.

Got these gloves for wheeling in the winter. The gloves keep your hands dry & reasonably warm when airing down/up or pulling cable in the snow/icy mud. Haven't worked on any repairs while wearing this, so can't comment on how they work for handling tools etc.. They are obviously bulkier than regular Mechanix gloves but still allow decent dexterity. My hands start getting cold if I'm outside for any prolonged period of time. But for the purpose of keeping my hands dry from the snow/ice & decently warm, its great. Would have given it 5stars if it was warmer. However, I'd rather it be a bid cold than lose more dexterity.

Purchased for my dad for Christmas. He microwaved his last pair and they melted. We got a good laugh at his expense. These are a bit thicker than the Mechanix gloves sold every where. Perfect for a stubborn man that will not wear winter gloves but does all the snow removal for the household. These gloves are easy to wear when working with your hands. He said they were a little snug and he could have gone up a size but they will work.

Decent gloves. Pretty tough. The velcro wears out pretty quick though. Keeps hands slightly warmer in the winter in Fort Drum. Not bad. Useless once wet. Also smells terrible once it dries. Not bad for the price. Would recommend only for light/medium use. Put my hand directly on a hot barrel and held it there without feeling any of the heat. Protection wise its great but they wear out fairly quick. Decent not perfect.

These gloves are great. I bought them mainly to use while fishing in cold weather. They are warm and low profile. I didn't expect them to be so warm for how thin they are. Although it's not super easy to tie a hook on the line with these on, it is doable. But that's all I can ask for from a glove that actually keeps my hands warm.
These gloves also held up pretty well to repeated wear from fishing line. I'm impressed with the durability.
However, these gloves will not keep your hands warm if they are wet. They're not designed for that, but if I dip my hand in the water these gloves are cold until they're dry. And they don't dry particularly quickly.
I'd buy these gloves again though. They're very warm for how thin they are.

These are quite possibly the best gloves in the world. Unbelievable combination of dexterity and warmth.

When I first got them, I figured they would only be warm in the 35°-40° F range. Was I wrong!

Yesterday it was 23° F out and I had to repair a generator in a remote location. A location which I could not get to except via ATV. All I had was my new Mechanix insulated MG-95-010 gloves. I rode the half mile to the generator, then back and forth to my truck twice. My hands stayed mostly very warm. I could feel the cold when traveling around 20 MPH, but my hands never got cold. By the time I got done, it was about 19° F.

All that, AND they are thin enough to work on the generator with them ON!

Great. At Fort Carson where it gets pretty cold. These are good for a lot. PT. Rucking. In the field. May consider getting a size up, then you could fit some liners under them for added warmth. Definitely my go to gloves now when we go to the range or basically do anything outside now in the cold. Added protection without the bulk, preserving dexterity.
