These are absolutely the best cold weather work gloves on the market. Says an Alaskan. I use them for working, playing in the snow, you name it. They are still flexible enough to be used during the summer for 4 wheeling or general labor. Very very good gloves. On my second pair, first ones lasted about 3 years of absolute hard abuse. Stitching on the fingers have out. Could have chopped them off and had fingerless gloves and got another 5 years from them.
Keeps your hands WARM to about twenty degrees. Colder than that and your hands will get a little chilly. Even colder than that and its time to switch to some heavy Mittens. Colder than that and its time to switch to inside a house.
Get these gloves. Absolutely my favorite gloves. Way way better than ANY mechanics gloves.
Blackhawk has some warm gloves, but these gloves have reinforced palms and finger tips. Last much much longer.
I purchased the John Tillman 1495L lined gloves for my hubby, who is hardworking farmer. He loves the Tillman lined gloves because he can break them in within a day to the point that they fit his fingers and hands in what feels like a custom fit. He can still "feel" what he is working with but they are sturdy and protect his hands, too. The lining is a big plus in colder weather.
1st - really nice warm gloves, and the leather padding reinforcements are a nice touch. Form fitting around the fingers.
However, I was doing some light grinding on some steel porch railing and some sparks hit the back of the gloves (the blue section). This appears to be made out of a low temp synthetic fabric (polyester?), as it melted a dime size hole through the glove. As these are supposed to be 'work' gloves, I'd expect that they could withstand this. I'd go with 3.5 stars, but hey, it's Sunday, I'll bump it up to 4.
These gloves are great and are well made. They even keep my hands warm in the winter.
Very durable lasted a winter season probably could of saved them for another winter season but they took a lot abuse. A little too thick for what I like but it keeps the hands warm in the harsh Iowa winter.

Great for winter - insulation is too much for warmer weather. Can't lose them because of the colors!
