Great at elimating vibration and impact. Sizing, not so much. Had to choose between Large and XL, so I went with Large for my tiny Hobbit hands. Ended up cutting the fingertips off for better feel, yet the thumb length seems too shallow, and fit too tightly. Their is a hard wristguard with Terry cloth lining, but it's not breathable, and will collect a lot of sweat. I didn't think they were needed at first, but I was surprised to find they protected my wrists more than I expected, so I'll keep them in. Overall, I'm happy with the protection, though a bit disappointed with the sizing, although my Medium size was unavailable. Had they had my size, I would probably give a perfect score. I will buy these again.
I wish they'd make a similarly padded and equipped glove that was easily "WASHABLE" that would not fall apart. I like the way it functions and feels while training but it's made from materials that are not washable!!!!!!!
fit is good
I've always been searching for full fingered gloves for weightlifting. I needed a pair that was well padded and meant for weightlifting. I've always hated using the typical open fingered weightlifting gloves because they don't protect the ends of your fingers. If you lift heavy weights especially for dead lifts, bent-over-rows, shrugs or any exercise where you hold the weight off the end of your hands perpendicular to the floor, you know how much pressure it puts on the ends of the fingers after a while. You start developing a lot of calluses and cuts on the end of your fingers.
So the best alternative I could find to regular open fingered weight lifting gloves were baseball batting gloves. Baseball batting gloves are ok for weightlifting but they hardly have any padding and would last only about 2-3 months for my weight lifting training regimen 6 days a week.
When I found the Valeo Pro Full-Fingered gloves, I thought my prayers were finally answered. Although I don't think these were designed for weightlifting in mind, they were the closest pair of full fingered gloves I could find with padding inside.
So far, I've been using these for about a month and they've served me well. I immediately noticed that you can hardly feel anything in your hands because of the padding. Even very heavy dumbbells apply only light pressure to my hands. All my callouses and cuts on my hands have disappeared after only about a month of use! The padding is really great.
But there are some flaws you should be aware of. Even though I have relatively small hands, I bought the large size gloves and they actually fit quite snugly on my hands. In addition, my wrists are quite thin too but the velcro wrap around straps are very short and you really have to stretch them out and pull them all the way around your wrists to get them to stay on. Even so, I found the velcro straps coming off quite often during my workouts so I have to wrap them around my wrists again.
The bottom of the gloves right below the wrists (right below the red tag if you look at the picture of the gloves) contains a hard plastic mold that protects the bottom of your forearms too. You can bend your wrists without any problems but they may be a hindrance for some. This area below the wrists is much longer than typical weight lifting gloves and extends about 3 to 4 inches down from the bottom of your hand along your forearm.
The grip isn't all that great either. There's no special material, fabric or coating on these gloves to help grip objects. Since these are padded gloves, they are a little bit thick too. So picking up and holding on to plates is a little bit tricky. It's just like wearing leather gloves in winter so you may find it hard to grip and hold on to objects that are smooth and wide.
Lastly, although the gloves offer a little bit of ventilation toward the back of your hand. This area right below your knuckles seems to be made of stretchable semi-breathable fabric or material. I've been using these gloves in December in a relatively cool gym but I still find my hands sweating a little bit. I can only imagine what it's going to feel like in the hot summer months.
To summarize:
Pros:
- One of the very few full fingered padded gloves you can use for exercise/weightlifting
- Padding is excellent all along the bottom of your hands and fingers
- Semi-decent ventilation on the back of your hands
- Very well padded all along the palm and fingers
- Hard plastic unbendable mold protects the bottom of your forearm
Cons:
- Velcro wrist straps are too short. You really have to stretch them to wrap them around which makes it very tight around your wrists and forearms.
- No special fabric or material for grip. Hard to grip smooth or wide objects similar to wearing leather gloves.
Its purpose was fulfilling in that I save time wrapping my wrist before working out.
However, it dosent offer the full support as the actual wrapping(obviously).

Did just what I needed them to do.... I was double gloving my hands with Kevlar and leather gloves and this pair made it to where I only needed to wear these. Love then, don't hesitate, buy!! But as for the hard plastic in the wrist support area, I cut them out pretty much immediately.
