Since my completely bonehead move of shaving off the tips of two of my fingers with my mandolin these gloves have been the perfect safety device. I actually stuck a carrot in one of the fingers and ran it over the blade of the mandolin (call me paranoid). No damage to the glove. I got them in a size small so they would fit snugly. I like them and trust them to keep my fingers safe. Clearly I can't be trusted to do the same.
The cut resistance is good for their purpose, as intended, avoiding minor cuts. I remain mindful to be just as careful with them on as I do with them off. The extra large size is more like a large (I have normally large hands), which suits me fine because then the gloves are snug (a good thing when fileting slippery chicken breasts with a sharp knife). I wash and rinse them with dish soap while on my hands then put them back on reversed then wash and rinse them again. I would put them in the laundry, but I don't want them hanging out with clothes and towels, so I wash them right away, and that works for me. These are the second pair of gloves of these particular gloves, and the first pair is holding up well enough after a year or so. Safety first.
I got these gloves for one reason. The hand guard of my ceramic knife sharpener broke, and it is not made anymore. I need something to protect my left hand while I sharpen with my right. The extra large fits well. I have never cut myself using the sharpener, did not even hit the hand guard, but never say never. Works for me.
I use ceramic knives , and a palm peeler. They are both razor sharp . I cut potatoes paper thin for chips . These gloves are really great ! Used them to cut veggies for soup , cut chicken breast very thin . Caught the knife with a finger and no problem ! Love them !
Purchased these as a gift for my mother who cooks quite a bit. She loves them. She usually cuts herself several times a month. No cuts since shes been wearing these gloves. She tells me how much she loves them everytime I see her.

These gloves are used for wood carving. They keep you from getting cut. Can be washed as needed and line dryed. So good I have three pairs.

Perfect for filleting fish and oyster shucking. I use them for cleaning fish and gripping the slippery fish. I was very surprised about what a great protection and feeling of safety this gloves gives. Wearing the cutting glove I really do not worry about any injuries for my fingers. Also the texture is soft and thin, this is a nice bonus.
