I bought these gloves for use when camping to protect my hands while cooking, chopping wood, carving...any task requiring some sturdy, thick gloves to protect my hands. The quality of the leather is wonderful; I cannot find a single flaw in the durability of the stitching or the hide. For the size they fit my hands well (though the pinkie/ring finger seam is a bit short on the left glove, hence the 4 stars). Since I plan to use them heavily in all-weather conditions, I also treated them Obenauf's leather protector. I can't wait to use them because I know they'll be comfortable and durable against anything I throw at them.
After successfully working out return for a size that was too small for my hands, these have become my favorite part of my daily tool kit! Rather that put them in my toolbag, I carry them in my everyday satchel - with the cell phone, wallet and keys. Soft and strong!
