As I age, my arms seem to bruise very easily. Any light scratch that doesn't break the skin will show blood under the skin that takes days to go away. It is very embarrassing when I wear short sleeved shirts. I ordered a set of these and they have changed my life! I'm a chunky man but these fit fine. They are tight, but not where they constrict blood flow or, most importantly, cause bruising on my arms. They don't feel like they'd be that tough, but I was so wrong! My first time to use them was to trim our huge shrubs in front of our house. In the past, I'd come away with a lot of scratches. After doing the trimming, I peeled them off expecting to see a mess on my arms. But I had Z-E-R-O scratches and Z-E-R-O bruises!!! These things are AWESOME. And, I was worried they'd be hot but I've not had any issues with that at all. And I like how they come down below the thumb, which means I'm covered from elbow to fingertips (with work gloves on). Very few products impress me but these have. So much so that I bought another pair to take to work so that I'm protected when I have to run network cables in the drop ceilings.
I would recommend these gloves for anyone like me that has very thin skin and needs protection from anything sharp like puppies with sharp little teeth, cutting down rose bushes or other shrubs we have around our home. Sharp puppy teeth and thorns can get through them but it is 99% better that going out with no gloves or protection. i plan on purchasing a couple more so I can wash them more often/
I have some lighter weight forearm protectors, but they don't do much against bruising. These puppies are thick enough to soften and spread impact so I don't get those horrid black bruised areas any more. They also protect well against abrasion. Five thumbs up!

I should have got a set sooner.
These are really well made and a nice addition to my husband's arm protection gear. He has bad road rash and has to keep his arm covered for a year to protect from Sun so we've tried out several brands and styles. These are a little hard core for everyday use but great when he's working (he's a handyman) in harsher conditions like landscaping.
Protects my "old man"" skin from bruising. Great product.
