I was looking for shooting gloves and these are comfortable and breathes well and I'm happy with my investment. I would recommend this product.
After countless pairs of full-finger Mechanix gloves (I keep losing them), I switched to these fingerless ones on a recommendation for summer wear and more precise trigger control (I use these for police work and shooting). They work great for police work in warm weather; my hands stay cool while still being protected from scrapes and bruises, and also am able to easily use a pen to write or handle small objects like a handcuff key. They were shipped quickly and Mechanix is a great company to deal with. No complaints other than the uncomfortable tag inside each glove that I had to remove. Removing the tags caused some of the stitching to come apart too.
it's a bit harder to remove than the full fingered version, but that's the price one has to pay to get fingerless gloves.
if you are using this for shooting, i would recommend buying the full fingered one and just cutting the tip of the glove for the trigger finger.
As with any Mechanix Wear glove, these are superbly made and fit like a, well, a glove. I have some temporary nerve damage in my right hand causing a condition known as "trigger finger" in my ring finger. Wearing the right glove while I walk with a cane helps prevent further nerve damage from the handle of the cane pressing into my palm due to the gloves ample padding. I also wear it at night to prevent me from fully closing my fist while sleeping. It seems to be helping and the condition is getting better by the day.
The glove fits just right. Not too heavy. Plans to use for upcoming Spartan Race. The only problem is the smell. It smells so strong, like a burnt rubber chemical ammonia something. Washed it with extra detergent, still smelled. Rinsed with fabric softener and deodorizer thingy, it's some better, but you can still smell it. Hopefully will wear out over time. It functions great as a glove, regardless.

The first pair was sent to me with a defective seam that wasn't completely sewn. Amazon promptly sent a new pair and let me tell you they are perfect. They fit like a second set of skin but with a perfect amount of stretch. The padding on the palm is protective and enhances grip. The armored areas are flexible, comfortable but incredibly impact resistant. I could wear these gloves all day. My wife fell in love with how well mine fit and the protection they afforded and ordered some of her own. I will be using these as work gloves as well as airsoft gloves. Probably going to buy a second pair!
Initial impression of these gloves is one of high praise. The fit is perfect, the feel is awesome, and the look is very cool. I bought these for motorcycle riding (Harley Davidson) and the padding is great as they are very comfortable and fit the job perfectly. I own several pair of MW gloves that I have used for yard work and tactical wear and they have been very durable however I've never owned MW's fingerless gloves. If these follow the toughness and comfort of their predecessors then I may have to have a couple more pair of these fingerless gloves.
I bought these gloves for work as a police officer on a bicycle. They have worked out exceptionally well for that purpose. They protect my hands on both sides. They are comfortable and have held up under very heavy use, even after going through the washing machine several times. They have worked so much better than any of the numerous bike gloves previously purchased.
Disclaimer: I actually got these pre-owned through Amazon warehouse.
I've been using these gloves a couple of times a week for about 2 months now and they still look as good as when I got them. I primarily use them to work out and lift weights as well as for shooting and they have held up beautiful. They did have a little bit of a plastic ish smell when I got them but it went away after about a week, and it wasn't strong. Also they we're a little tight when I got them, but they fit perfectly now so I chalk that up to needing to be broken into. Overall I love these, and really don't have any complaints.
I wear 7.5 to 8 glove size, these large fit snuggly and there might have ultimately been a shrinkage problem from sweat, but it’s all “simulated” leather; out of the package fit and work great. After first two wearings the black dye stopped leaching out into my hands, at least visibly. It washed off with plain soap easily. Hope they don’t use anything carcinogenic in Vietnam to color fabric; Very good design for both protection and dexterity.
