I uses these for smoking meat with XL nitrile gloves over them. Work great at keeping the heat at bay while letting me still manipulate whatever.

Good lightweight gloves for light yard-work, mowing
Fabric is nice and smooth but I wish the cuff were longer because it gaps around the wrist. I have one glove that has a longer ribbed cuff (couldn't find any others like that). These are good for covering medication on my hands. I cut out the fingers on some gloves for typing (they look tacky and unravel, but not too quickly).
