These are my new gardening gloves. When I say gardening, I mean shoveling gravel, moving bricks and construction debris and finding and disposing of all the roofing nails and broken glass in the flower bed soil. Oh and also planting stuff. I bought an extra pair for my disaster prep kit now that I know they'll hold up relatively well. I also like that these still function when they're wet. Since the rubber provides so much grip, I'd suggest putting them in a delicates bag or an old pillow case if you want to throw them in the wash, just so they don't grip onto your laundry or the side of the drum and cause balance problems in your washing machine. Hang dry (the synthetic material dries quickly and they'll last longer if not exposed to dryer heat).
Would love to extend an inappropriate gesture to the rest of the work glove industry for making one pair of decent women's gloves for every 30984092 pairs of men's gloves. Let's even out that ratio just a little.
For reference, I have long-fingered "piano hands" and the large or L/XL size (depending on which Carhartt gloves you get) fits snugly to my fingers without them shifting horizontally in the glove, a reality when trying to use a smaller-sized men's glove.
These gloves were recommended by the Shanty2Chic sisters. I got them so I can pick out lumber at the big box stores and avoid splinters. They were a little stiff at first, but on my first job picking out reclaimed wood they got filthy. Once washed and dried (in dryer) they fit much better. Really please with the quality and will most likely pick up a second pair to keep in my car.
It's really hard to find good women's work gloves that fit and are tough. These do a pretty good job, but I honestly bought them to use while clearing out brush, and stickers still manage to get through. Most recently we tackled some multiflora rose and I came home with a lot of painful thorns stuck in my hands. They don't provide total protection on top of the hand.
Bought these to wear while removing old carpeting. I hadn't worn gloves when removing the carpeting from one room and my hands were a mess, front and back. I bought these specifically for the extra protection for the knuckles and back of hands. Worked so well! Very pleased with the performance of these gloves. I washed them after the carpet was gone and gloves held up fine. Good purchase.
Bought this for my mother, and I also have a mens ones as well. Overall it is comfortable and grips well. No complaints. Btw, keep in mind that if you wash it and toss in dryer, it will shrink considerably...and be even a snugger fit.

If you have small hands get the extra small. These work great for heavy duty jobs. I have used them for moving out of my apartment. Things that usually I wouldn't be able to lift or carry, I could do it with these gloves. I recommend them for all the ladies.
Great work gloves. Used them while I was working nights at Target and they saved my hands from further damage. The only drawback to these gloves is that they will make your hands very sweaty and possibly smell bad.
Fits my small hands and protects my knuckles nicely. And they are very sticky!
Great tough work glove, but I felt it ran large. I ordered the small/medium size because other outdoor gloves I have are mostly mediums, but had to return for the Xsmall size, which amazon made very easy.
Good fit for small hands, strong, durable, configurable, and gives a good grip
