While you normally wouldn't think of wearing wire-mesh gloves for dog handling, that's exactly why I got this glove. I have an 8-month-old puppy who loves to chew, and when he bit thru the regular work gloves I wear when playing with him, he almost drew blood. So, I got a pair of these gloves, and tried one on underneath the work glove. It works great! My puppy can still chew on the outside glove, but his teeth won't penetrate the steel mesh. Also, you really don't need the strap that comes with the glove - it has elastic at the opening that keeps the glove snug on your hand. However, it's nice to have. Last, the removable inner glove is nice as well.

While the gloves provide high level cut and abrasion resistance, some cautions should be noted.

Bought these for my husband to use while trimming our trees and bushes. He likes them. He's on blood thinner and was getting cut all the time. These help.
