Bought these for carrying and stacking firewood, and they also work fine for tending a fire in the fireplace. It takes a little searching, but they are available in different sizes. I got them in medium, which fits fine for me.
My wife has trouble finding small work gloves so when I found these I bought them for her. She is happy with them.

These are great gloves. I definitely recommend them.
They are a little large for me. I'm 6 feet and usually an X-Large is my size but these are a slightly loose in XL.

they are really good and durable.
A little tighter then the measurement scale indicates by maybe a 1/4 inch , for me it is a great fit though
