I purchased these gloves for the kitchen because I do a lot of chopping, grating, etcetera. I feel a lot safer now that I don’t have to worry about cutting myself. I prepare a lot of fresh food from my garden. They are also great for holding onto slippery things, like a whole raw chicken that you are trying to cut up. I have not had an accident, but I did try to cut through one of the fingers with a very sharp knife when I first got them just to see if they worked, and they did! They are also really easy to clean. I just wash them in the sink with my dishes most of the time, but if I need them sanitized after handling raw meat I will put them in the dishwasher. I plan to get another pair to use in the garden soon since planting season is almost here. I can imagine that these would be good for any kind of work that might irritate your hands. Very glad that I found these gloves! And they are not expensive, I thought they would be more expensive. They seem to be cut resistant as advertised. I have not had an accident with my knife so I can't say that they protected me, but I tried to cut them with my sharp knife and nothing happened. So I think it would be a nice protection while cutting!
Although I haven't used the gloves yet, they were delivered promptly and the Small fit perfectly for a female hand.

Honestly, I bought these for something entirely different than the intended purpose they were created for. I use them when holding my hedgehog. She was poking my hand constantly and it got pretty painful at times. Now I can hold her and only feel an occasional slight prick. I initially thought about getting rubber gloves, but assumed that would be uncomfortable. So I figured since these gloves are fabric and are cut resistant maybe they’d be “poke resistant” too. Tada they worked!
The spring is finally here and I started doing a little bit of gardening work. These gloves worked. They work just like any other working gloves,. They are durable and comfortable. Because they are cut resistant, I moved some scrap metal while wearing them. Yes, they are cut resistant as claimed. I like these gloves over the leather ones because I sweat a lot and these gloves breath much better than the leather gloves. Overall, I like them and will buy again if there is a need again.
My son helps me cut vegetables and they work great for that. I don't have to worry about him cutting a finger. I took the gloves and rubbed them across the blade first to make sure they would be safe. I think I'm going to get another pair and try them in the garden when I trim my roses and black raspberries bushes.
