As an industrial and commercial insulator I certainly work with some soft products. But I have to also have to work with PVC jacket, metal jacket and stainless steel banding. Along with working around metal studs, threaded rods and other sharp or pointy items.

By far, these Ironclad FRAMER (3 exposed fingers) gloves, have lasted the longest for me.

The one caveat is that the additional layer on the palm comes apart fairly quickly. But it doesn't matter! There is still another layer under it. But that's not what exposes my hand to injury. It's the fingers coming apart at the seams that always ruins a pair of gloves for me.

I usually get 3 months, if I stretch it, out of a pair of gloves. I easily get 6 months out of these on average. Sure, there are rare occasions where something drastic shortens the life of any glove. But we're talking about it NOT being the crappy material or shoddy construction right from the manufacturer.

As for the other's I've tried: IRWIN (2nd best), Custom Leathercraft, Youngstown, Handyman, CLC, Mechanix, along with the standards from HomeDepot and Lowe's.

Bought these and the CLC (whom I really like for bags and knee pads and such) framer gloves at the same time through Amazon. Wore these for 6 months or so.. rode hard, put away wet. Really. Often working in the rain. They did great. The CLC got their time to shine.. only, they lasted about three weeks total.. one week and the seams were coming apart. Had to build a deck this week, dug through the shop trash to find these babies cuz I didn't want to wear the CLCs.

As a point of preference- these gloves end prior to my wrist. The CLCs went up onto my wrist, which I did not like. Neither Velcro lasted, but I didn't care about that.

I'm a remodel contractor, always wear my gloves. So that's 8 he's or more per day

I've been using Ironclad gloves for at least a decade now, but I've more and more needed to use my fingers for using equipment with buttons while working. These are just the ticket, they protect my hands while allowing me to push small buttons on gear. They're very flexible and the fit is excellent.

These Ironclad Framer Gloves are my husband's Favorite gloves. He builds houses for a living and his hands get worn. These are very sturdy and fit just right. They also keep his hands warm in fridgid temperatures in the winter. These are his fourth pair. Will buy again!

I'm a communications technician and I really like these gloves. I often need the dexterity of my fingers when splicing cables, but need my hands protected for cable pulling and tool usage. I've had these gloves for around a month now, and they haven't held up as well as I had hoped. The stitching is already ripping out and the flaps that cover the top of my fingers has ripped several times. Overall I am pleased with the gloves, but I wish they were a little more durable.

Didn’t realize the finger holes were open on these. It’s a useful feature but not when trying to keep your hands protected completely. I was using these in the snow and they were pretty comfortable and warm. Order a size up from the normal glove as I believe this run a little small.

I bought these after a set of Mechanix gloves and a set of "tactical" gloves. The problem with full gloves is that loading rounds into a mag is crazy hard and can get frustrating. You just don't have a lot of tactile feel with full length gloves. Framer gloves such as these are great for shooting and gives you a few fingers to do fine movements such as loading rounds into a magazine. Pretty solid construction true to size.

sweet gloves, super heavy duty, includes a soft spot to scratch your face or wipe your nose without giving you cheese grater face.

the three fingers cut off really helps me to fish, grab nails, work with electronics, etc. I love the design, but i have seen better and more expensive gloves, so only 4 stars for you for the price.

I love these gloves! I've recently picked up woodworking as a hobby and these things have been indispensible. I can keep my fingers covered to grab lumber, but at the same time I can feel if I need to keep sanding without taking my gloves off. My first pair hasn't worn out yet, but I've already picked up a second pair because I don't want to be without them!

I bought these for my husband and he LOVES them.

My husband is a delivery driver and needed gloves without a couple of fingers so he could work his package scanner, he also needed some that weren't slick and helped grip boxes.

These were absolutely perfect for him! They fit him great and did what he needed them to do and kept his hands warmer in the snowy weather.

Just ordered a second pair and I'm sure will order again!
