So my family has a curse. When we're around sharp things, we get cut. When we're around dull things, we get cut. Paper, knives, the wrapper around a stick of gum. It's plagued me my entire life. Then I gave these a shot.

Day one: I opened several boxes (and broke them down) with a box cutter. No cuts.
Day two: I wore these while slicing veggies for the wife. No cuts.

Week three: I took the box cutter to open a box and sliced across the back of my hand. No cuts! It worked!
The next day: While showing off to loved ones how cool (and an idiot) I am, I changed out light bulbs and gripped too hard, crushing the bulb in my hand. No cuts.

A month and a half later: While instructing a friend's child that one should always handle knives carefully, especially switch blades as the blade can pop out from here *touches end*...well, yeah. You get the hint. But it didn't pierce! Hurt like heck though but the angle helped deflect the blade, thanks to these.

I think I'm just going to wear a pair of these daily. I think that's in my best interest and for my own protection.

This is my 2nd pair; one for home the other for field as we work in food service afield. I'm very strong on accident prevention, and this is an essential tool around the kitchen when using anything sharp: blades, graters, zesters, slicers... This is woven fabric and useless for protection from sharp pointed tools, but that's rarely an issue. I just wash the lemon juice off with tap water and hang out to dry after zesting a lemon for Caesar salad, for example. Prevention! Important indeed!

Been having callus on my hands starting 2nd month playing Beat Saber VR game. Tried about 10 different kinds of gloves but so far this one is the best. Here are the 3 main advantages it has over others: 1) intense VR gaming means sweaty hands and this glove stays the coolest, 2) protection. No more callus and no more painful hands, 3) durability. Seems very durable and after few weeks of use still show no signs of wear unlike the one I bought from Big5 which start tearing in just 1 week, 4) non slip. Keeps the Vive controllers in place and no need to use too much force.
Only had them for few weeks. Will update after months of use. Been using it on a daily basis between 1/2 to 2 hours.

I've used kevlar-leather gloves as a cop, and now use these for my go-bags for another job. But these new variations are frog leaps ahead of the old anti-cut gloves we used to have (leather ones they still sell at cop shops). Now, the elastic is a bit strong and gets to be a bit much after about 20 minutes, but all told, they're not for wearing all day (or necessarily all mission). But I did have to sort through a hazardous debris field and used these to go through everything from metal wreckage to broken glass. These don't even show a nick.

I may have to get some oversized ones to put over some nitrile gloves if handling hazmat debris. That's for another day.

Super fast delivery!

I am a woman with slender hands and long fingers, and these size medium gloves fit me very well. My husband tried them on his bigger and similarly shaped hands and they fit him, too. The palm has an overall clear, tacky coating plus the very grippy green ridges. I've included a picture of the back of the box for more detailed info on the safety rating. My understanding is the "4.3.4.X" stand for "abrasion.cut.tear.puncture". As you can see, these are not level 5 for cuts, but have moderate level 3 protection combined with the good grip that will go a long way toward preventing cuts from cuts caused by slipping (one of my main concerns). I haven't used them or cleaned them yet.

I received a pair of these gloves for free, to provide my honest review. I was actually excited to receive these gloves because my wife accidentally cut her finger on a cheese grater a couple of years ago and since then, it's been my job to grate blocks of cheese. I ordered their largest size which actually ended up being a bit tight for me but I probably won't be the one to use them so it's not a big deal.

The gloves came in a plastic bag within an envelope. They're made with a tough fibrous material somewhat resembling steel wool but you can feel through them and they don't irritate your skin. I took a knife to my hand while wearing the gloves and didn't feel any pain. I wasn't trying to cut my hand off or anything but I wanted to see if I could cut the gloves themselves. I took the gloves off for my second test which was trying to puncture the gloves with a knife. What I found was the tip of the knife wouldn't go through the gloves -- even though I was putting a good amount of pressure into it. I'd imagine that the gloves wouldn't shield you from pain, but they'd keep the blade from entering your skin.

As far as using the gloves with food, I'm happy to see they're machine washable. But at the same time, it would be even better if they were dishwasher safe. Putting them in with laundry is sort of a big deal since people don't generally do a load of dish towels every day. With them being used and not specifically stated as being safe to wash in the dishwasher, I'd recommend using them with foods that won't get the gloves too "saturated", if you will. Another great use of the gloves is when cutting very spicy peppers -- keeps you from getting the pepper juice on your fingers -- which inevitably makes its way to eyes.

9 Bucks? That's all? These are perfect for the sportsman. I had to know, so I took a razor knife and cut at my fingers from several angles. Softly at first but was amazed at the amount of pressure I applied and had no affect of the material. Completely expected at least to lint them a bit but the blade was clean and darn sharp. I purchased them for meat processing. The best part about them is that nitrile gloves slide over them with complete ease. While I expect they will launder just fine I would rather keep it out to start with. Look at it this way, it's considerably cheaper than your co-pay at Urgent Care and you can live perfectly happy with out the story about the scar you won't have. On top of that, if you are working with cool or frozen meats they will help considerably with the cold...not that they felt hot.

I'm back to buy my third pair of these, and aiming to buy size Small this time for my usually size womens' large hands. We've been buying M, but inevitably a hole is cut in one of the fingers or thumb as I use these when using my mandoline. So far no cuts to me when using these! but the gloves only last a year at best with my clumsiness. Maybe if the gloves fit better they'd be less likely to catch in the mandoline blade. In size M the thumb and pinky/ring fingers are way too long.

I bought these gloves out of necessity - I was processing citrus from the garden into gallons of marmalade, and got a mandolin to slice the fruit. Hand slicing was too slow and too hard on my hands. The mandolin worked fine except I kept nicking my finger tips on the cutting blades. So, I read the reviews of various cut resistant gloves and selected these.

When they arrived, I thought I might have made a mistake. They were in a regular retail package, but the tags had been crudely cut leaving frayed edges and the first two lines of text. There was an odd chemical smell, so I hung them outside in the sun and rain for a couple of days, and the smell disappeared.

They fit well (I ordered the XL size, and they are a nice snug fit), and do not interfere with the work. The critical point is how well they protect my hand, and they do an excellent job. Finally, the gloves will fit either hand, extending the useful life of the pair since only the working hand needs protection.

I ordered these to go with a mandolin I ordered from Amazon (Swissmar Borner V-1001) because I was terrified from reviews saying how sharp the blade was. I don't know because I always put these gloves on first. The fingers are a bit long on my medium sized hands, but if you have long fingernails or freakishly long fingers, you'll love that about them. I use them occasionally when chopping vegetables and after using my mandolin, I keep them on to wash it without cutting myself. Yams and carrots stain them orange, and I've just been hand washing them with dish soap and laying them flat to dry. When they first arrived, I put them on and did some knife juggling. I was very impressed as I handled the blades and saw how they protected me. I don't think they would stop a knife from stabbing through directly (this isn't chain mail) but it will definitely eliminate those cuts from careless slips of the blade. Would definitely buy again!
