Youngstown Glove 09-9083-10-XXL Titan XT Lined with Kevlar Glove, XX-Large

I purchased this glove for its stated cut and puncture resistance since I work in an environment that requires handling sharp metal and glass on a regular basis and the chance of getting a hand injury due to improper gloves is a real chance. In the product description for these gloves it is stated that they are ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A5 (out of A9) and ANSI/ISEA Puncture Level 4 (out of 5). The Actual ANSI Rating's can be seen in the last picture I uploaded.
Abrasion Resistance Level Of 4
Cut Resistance Level Of 2
Tear Resistance Level Of 4
Puncture Resistance Level Of 2
So These Gloves DO NOT have a puncture resistance level of 4 out of 5. They Are 2 out of 5 for both cut and puncture resistance.
What does that mean in the real world, Im not sure! They have protected my hand adequately and are holding up relatively well, I have used them for about 7 days of hard work now and the condition they are in can be seen in my pictures. The thread in some spots is coming loose on the palms and the reflective wrist part is worn off by the cuff of the glove. These gloves have a heavy duty feel to them but they are still semi-dexterous, do not expect to be able to manipulate small screws and fine objects with these on though. They are easy to take on and off though so there is no issue with removing them for fine work and I think they should last another few weeks worth of work before they start to give out. Overall A good glove for the money.

I bought these gloves in preparation for Extrication Level 1 class and after using them for two straight days and on 7 different vehicles that I cut up, spread apart, and broke open, there are no signs of any wear and tear, nor are there injuries to my hands or wrists. These gloves are comfortable enough to be worn all day. One caveat is that the stitching on the inside of the right pinky finger is not 100% comfortable as it pokes straight out into my finger instead of naturally folding up or down when I put my hand into them. All said and done, they are very good gloves for extrication and great for the price.

I've used the same pair of gloves for nearly 3 years now, riding about 100 miles/week in the heat, rain, and hail of the Pacific Northwest. My observations:
• If you like your skin - buy these gloves. A few weeks ago, I had a near car-collision (they were on the phone), which sent me sprawling on the pavement at about 15 mph. I walked away with a massive road rash, torn clothes, and a ruined front wheel. My left hand was unmarred. Even-though I had skidded over 7 feet on it, the glove showed no sign of damage.
• The reflective strips on the back of the gloves are invaluable when signaling in traffic, in all light conditions
• The internal padding is sufficient to take the bite off adverse road conditions, but not enough to prevent you from feeling the road (a good thing when riding in twilight / dark).
• The fingers are stiff at first, but they become gradually more malleable over time - mine are really easy to flex
• Initially, it can be difficult to discern the levers on your brakes/shifters since you can't feel them as well - this can lead to not shifting down occasionally
• In knuckle guards are wonderful, especially when dealing with bike racks on busses and trains
• These gloves are not water-proof, nor will they keep your hands warm when temperatures drop below 38 F. For those conditions, I recommend using the Youngstown winter gloves that have the terry cloth nose-wipe, or a thin, wool glove-insert
• Over a month or two, they will begin to stink (same as every glove) - this is easily rectified by soaking them for about 10 minutes in a disinfectant and then washing them to get the chemicals out. This will kill the bacteria and wash away all the grime. Since there are no leather components, the washing does not leave the glove stiff.
• When it is drizzling and cold, the gloves are long enough to tuck the top (at the wrist) into the sleeves of my rain jacket, and since the gloves prevent much of the wind, it is still comfortable.

Great gloves, I work construction and I've been using them for demolition for the last two months and they're still holding up fine. No glass, metal, or nail penetrations so far and although the outer black fabric between the fingers is abraded/fraying, the kevlar inner lining is intact. The finger and palm material is in excellent condition still. Note that these needed a few days of braking in as they were very stiff when new. Hands will also sweat heavily, but if you value protection then they are worth it.

Well - I got them for my chainsaw work and they are built well and seem tough. We'll see how long they'll last. What I plan to do is use them for the cutting, but change to cheaper, heavy leather for moving the wood so I don't wear them out like I did my last pair of husky gloves. These have 'bumpers' on the fingers and backs so they can make it a tight squeeze to get inside handles and things - but if you want or need protection then these look like they're perfect. I can get them inside my Stihl, Echo and Husky chainsaw handles so I'm fine with that. I also won't lose them in the woods because they are BRIGHT, lol. Which is actually a good thing. They also don't seem to make my hands sweat as bad as my last pair of chainsaw gloves which had more leather and a different material - this is also a good thing. So far - great!

I’ve been using these gloves to gut an old house and they’ve been incredible. I can just grab piles of nails and wire mesh and lath and other stuff with sharp things everywhere and now I know how Superman feels when he grabs things. I traded gloves with someone else temporarily and suddenly I’m smashing fingers and feeling little pokes everywhere. Yes, the sizing is a little tight, but no way that’s a reason to take a star away! Just exchange!

Great gloves. I have pulled more than one person out of mangled cars with these gloves on and my hands come out clean of cuts every time. I have an extra pair in my locker at the station always. Great gloves.

I do blacktop paving and my job can be murderously difficult. I was buying 40.00 pairs of gloves off of Amazon to protect my hands and they would only last me a month before I destroyed them. Amazon replaced them but I continued to search for a tougher glove. So far I have settled on these. I was actually able to get a few full months out of these. The Kevlar is falling apart after a few months and the cuff is ripping apart from taking the glove on and off but it’s still hanging in there and fully functional and protective. All of the other gloves I purchased from name brand companies fell apart even worse, and faster than this pair. I recommend these. They are truly heavy duty.

Great gloves for extrication work at accident scenes. Seemed a little stiff and tight at first but break in quickly. Excellent protection for my hands when they are in hazardous conditions working extractions or pump operations on scene. I've been using them for about 6 months now and the are holding up very well.

I am a flatbed otr driver— constantly working with hands
Always gripping
A good glove much better than average
To be clear they are not waterproof and when wet in winter its a hassle.... i would scotch guard them

Glove takes abuse but all the fancy power ranger rubber badges and exterior finger protectors came off
And naturally...like every single glove known to man...
The finger tips and sides split rendering them useless
WHEN IS A GLOVE COMPANY GONNA STOP MESSING AROUND AND ADDRESS THE FINGER TIP ISSUE
but... a good glove
