These gloves stood up to two days of handing rocks in 40 degree water. Holes didn't develop which is impressive because the gloves are fairly thin. They are lined like the description states but it is a thin lining hence the reason for 4 out of 5 stars. After a few hours in 40 degree water my hands did get a little chilled. I'm 5' 7" and these gloves come clear up to my armpit. For the price these gloves are hard to beat and I will buy again once I wear these pairs out.
These are heavy duty and used for dishwashing job to protect hands/arms from scalding hot water and the elastic upper allows for reaching in to deep water
