I had hoped to address some of the concerns raised by others, but the powers that be told me to focus on the product, so I will. I've been using these particular 14x18x1 filters for years without issue - they were the only ones available locally - changing them every three months (or so) as directed. I'm glad I'm not breathing the stuff that's collected by this filter and the baking soda does seem to help. Recommended.
With an old dog, two cats and a sensitive nose I have tried more "odor eliminating" products than I can count. I came across this filter and figured I would give it a try. I have had it in the furnace for several days and I am surprised to say there actually is a measurable difference both in the smell of my home and the smoothness with which my furnace is functioning. I have 2 air handlers in my home and one requires and odd sized filter. I was able to order both sizes needed from amazon for a great price. These are not heavy duty filters but do the job. I was told by one of the various AC repairmen I've hired not to use the super merv filters because the unit has to work that much harder. I live in Southwest Florida so my units run quite a bit, especially the 2nd floor unit in the summer. I save money purchasing the filters and by putting less stress on my units. Will definitely order again.

Good quality filters. I have two fluffy cats so I cannot get away with using the cheap stuff. I change them once a month and haven't had any problems with my A/C unit. My first order arrived damaged and dirty, but Amazon quickly replaced them!

I know, many people don't understand the MERV rating on air filters. Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, commonly known as MERV rating, is a measurement scale used to effectively scrub air in your house. So what goes into the HVAC system is cleaner when it comes out. Most of the air we use in a residence or office building comes directly from the air already in the system. Yes, there is an intake of air from the outside. But the majority of the air we use comes from inside. So when everyone in the house/office has the flu, guess what, it's because the air filters in the build should have been replaced. Once the effectiveness of the filter is compromised, and they should be changed every 3 months (or less), then you just let all those pass through the filter and into the next person. Breathe deep. It's worse on air planes. MERV 8 is just right for us at home. People who have severe allergies should get high efficiently rated filters. They cost more, but you will get sick less.
I have ordered this product before from this seller. They always deliver in a timely (actually extremely rapid!} manner. The product itself is the best filter I have used to combat allergies. Shortly after moving into our custom built house we needed to purchase new air filters for our heating/ac system. The original filter listed the size as 18"X30", a pretty standard size I thought. The first package of filters I ordered in this size didn't fit! They were just slightly too large for the frame and would collapse as soon as the air was turned on. After my wife very carefully measured the frame she told me it was off by just a fraction of an inch in both dimensions! The actual size is 17.5" x 29.5", but a lot of companies just casually round it up! This particular filter works perfectly & its a good deal sturdier than the original filter and especially when compared to the first set I ordered. This is one of those items you just don't want to skimp on. Quality matters & these are the best in my opinion.
Reasonably priced, and delivered to your door. I have no complaints about these. I don't know if they work for eliminating odors, but they function as expected otherwise, and at a price that makes swapping them out every couple months no big deal.
Exactly what I was told to get from my HVAC specialist! This brand of product helps the unit breathe better and doesn't change constrict so much air flow.
