Mechanix Wear - MultiCam M-Pact Tactical Gloves (Large, Camouflage)

I've had many different pairs of Mechanix Wear M-Pact gloves in the past. This is the first time I've bought the Multi-Cam style, I like the camo pattern... I've used Mechanix Wear M-Pact gloves for a lot of physical work, cutting wood, fence work, construction, automotive work, digging holes and so on.. I like these gloves, they are comfortable to wear right off the bat. They provide good protection and padding for your hands. I don't have very large hands and the medium size gives me a good snug fit. I don't like wearing gloves that are to big and are awkward to work in. The only downside I have run in to is they wear out pretty quick. Maybe it's because of the work I do and needing to wear gloves about every day at work? If you only use them on the weekend or a couple times a week then they will possibly last a bit longer? Worthwhile having for sure.

I have had these for about 2 and a half years and have used them for hunting, shooting, working on my cars, and even yard work. I have a hunting trip coming up this weekend, and I intend to use them during that. They are still in excellent condition and still fit great. Too often you get gloves that stretch out. These have stretched VERY minimally. The pattern looks great with the rest of my gear, and the hook and loop closure still stays tight and doesn't come undone.

Now, for anyone thinking that these are great gloves for shooting with, please understand that as far as gloves go, they are pretty good. The trigger and thumb fingers have a little slitting in them that enhances the feel, so they are pretty good. Do not take this as saying that it is better than your bare finger; there's no such thing. You cannot replicate best trigger and switch feel with a glove. However, the padding on the palms, and the gripping, along with having a good trigger feel do make these excellent for extended use situations. They do offer a good enough feel and they very much cut down on hand fatigue when manipulating a heavy or long weapon system for longer periods of time.

Being able to wash these in the washing machine is a really nice touch as well. Keeps them clean, and if you dry them flat, they tighten up pretty nicely.

If and when these finally wear out, I fully intend to buy another set to replace them. You definitely get what you pay for. Quality gloves.

Nice fit. Wish they were made with an option for a bit thicker.

A year later and I'm still using the same gloves. I've used them on everything for bushcraft chores to camping to working on the truck. They protect from everything. When these finally give out I will be buying some more!

Wonderful protective gloves, new design improves upon the old one ever so slightly.

A tip for other owners, buy some "McNett SeamGrip" and rub it on all the stitching, let dry. then add a coat to the pads of all the digits, this will greatly extend the usable life of the gloves.

I mostly use mine for running any kind of heavy tools or equipment where I want to minimize the amount of shock that is transferred to my hands and lower arms, but I can also see them working well as both a mechanic's glove and for use by someone in the military/Law Enforcement fields.

Description

Blend in. The M-Pact with MultiCam transitional camouflage features a Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) knuckle guard and dedicated finger guards to reduce impact and abrasion injuries in the field. The dual-layer internal fingertip construction reinforces the thumb and index finger for improved abrasion resistance, while the embossed fingertip pattern improves feel and overall dexterity. D3O palm padding absorbs and dissipates high-impact energy through the palm when you’re fully engaged so you can maintain your focus.

These gloves came as expected and seemed to be original and authentic mechanix wear gloves. I am 5’10” with large hands and went with the large size, and they fit great - Not tight or loose.

The stitching seems to be well done and the grip strips on the finger pads are slightly rubberized on top of the material. The knuckle protection is a soft silicone that allows the glove to flex easily without stretching or pulling on the material or stitching. The double layer palm protection seems adequate enough to protect you from a hard fall on rocks or gravel or from moderately sharp objects. The top of the hand protection is not bad either if not covered by the silicone sections as they have dual layered material and padding as well. The Velcro is very secure and it works well with the elastic band that it’s stitched to, that goes around your wrist. The wrist section even has the same silicone protection on it for bumps to the wrist during a fall.

I plan to use this glove for hunting in Florida and I think they will last for a couple seasons considering I’ve used simpler gloves for years and they are still usable. These gloves would work great for other shooting sports as well.

Pros: These are the best fitting work gloves I've ever used. I typically hate wearing work gloves, but these don't diminish my feeling and dexterity nearly as much as other gloves. For me, these gloves are warm enough for mildly freezing temperatures as long as my hands stay dry. I typically run hot, though.

Cons: I with the thumb and index fingers had the same box-type construction as the other fingers, but that is my only complaint regarding the fit. Also, these may not be the most durable gloves for serious work, but I can wear a finger hole in any work glove out there!

I ordered per the sizing instructions on the Mechanix website and these fit perfectly. I used these extensively during a 5-day survival class and they held up well, although there was some pilling on some of higher-wear areas outside of the palm/fingers by the end of the week. These are comfortable and were cool enough on the hotter days (~85 degrees) but kept my hands warm on the cooler days (mid forties in the morning/evening). Great gloves!

These gloves are great for any dirty work you can imagine using them for. They are comfortable and fit very well and are very accurate when it comes to the size. Your knuckles and fingers are well protected from scrapes, skins, bumps and holding onto tools securely. You can use your smart device while they are on and just as easily use a weapon system with them as well. I've used these gloves to grease down wire ropes/cables with a pair and they are still being used for the same job I used them for so they are very durable.

These are my fourth or fifth pair of these. I wear them for many things. Working around the yard. Working on my vehicles, and even while I am shooting my firearms. I love these gloves. The reason I have had so many pairs is that I have worn them out because of use. I really put them through the ringer. They are tough and wear well, and are very comfortable. They last well and I have only been able to wear them out because I am so hard on them. I highly recommend these gloves for all around the home and work use. What I especially like is the padding on the back of the hand because I am constantly striking my hands against something, and without this, I would have bruised and battered hands!!
