My fave wood-splitting glove, year round. Insulation is warm in winter and adds padding in summer when handling rough wood. The palms are flexible (until you get them wet, and then you have to soften them up by massaging, but they are never quite the same) and as strong as anything else I have found -- at any price. The back being cotton will hold up as long as the cowhide 'work surface' will but makes the glove a more reasonable price--which is important, because I have, again, not found any glove at any price that holds up better doing rough, splintery work...and I go through 3 pair a winter...I wish they sold a pack of "right hand only" gloves, because the left hand never wears out, but the pair gets tossed when I trash the right glove's thumb, middle and index fingertips....
I am glad I found these online--not the cheapest I have ever found them, but I cannot count on stores near me to keep them stocked, or have a sale whenever I need a pair. Always a reasonable price here.
I just ordered a second pair to replace my very well worn out first pair that lasted 2 years. I originally got them for handling a portable wood stove while winter camping in northern Minnesota, but quickly found I was using them for much more. They became my favorite winter dog handling glove as there is enough articulation to put on/off a snap clip, the cuff is just enough to go over my anorak and keep winter winds or snow out, and they are super easy on/off. They seem to dry pretty quickly by a wood stove. I pretty much abuse mine daily 3-4 months a year, yet they lasted much longer than an inexpensive glove should. Generally warm enough for me down to 20Fº for extended times, and down to 0Fº for a while with liners.
Very nice quality gloves. I work nights and am outside for about an hour each night. Even with below zero weather, hands stay warm. They hold up extremely well. I use to get cheap work gloves and would need to replace monthly. I've had these for a couple months and they feel like new still. Will only get Wells Lamont Gloves from now on. I use their non insulated gloves also, and they are equally great.
These are well made and reasonably warm. The fingers started out a little snug but quickly stretched out. The big thick black cuff is the only real negative of these gloves. A winter work glove should have an elastic cuff to keep snow out. The cuff tends to catch on things and is more in the way than helpful. If it were not for this detail I would have given them five stars.
I just received the gloves, but I am impressed initially. I was looking for work glove that provided some warmth at the same time. I am working on trail maintenance on the Pacific Crest Trail in cold weather and needed some warmth. These have a nice, thick inner lining that feels good when one's hand enters the glove. I will have to see how they work in use. Hopefully, they will not retain too much perspiration. I will update after trying the gloves out.

This is a good work glove with enough flexibility to operate the controls of the tractor while plowing and pushing snow. The cuff is an added benefit to keep the snow out of the glove when it is snowing. The temperature outside during the three times I used them was between 10-20 degrees and snowing and the gloves kept my hands warm for @ 2 1/2 hours. They also work well when shoveling snow as well. I have large hands and I bought the X-large gloves which are a little snug. I would recommend them to a friend.
Super good product. Thickly lined and th fingers are still flexible. Not much bulkier than the regular glove. I’ll update the review after a few days of wear and tear (I do commercial demo work).
I had a pair of these that lasted me over 12 years. I thought they were indestructible, but they finally wore out, so I bought these. I'm just hoping they still make them like they use to.
Great glove! Large enough for very large male hands. Quality stitching, soft leather and canvas.
I bought these for my brother for Christmas, they are a perfect fit and great quality. Fast shipment as well. Thank you.
