mechanix gloves are the best!!!! i mean i wish they were a little bit stronger at the seams but out of the gloves i have tried so far from Home Depo, walmart, pepboys, autozone.... these are really good. The price is cheaper on Amazon and also since i have small hands... amazon is the only place they have it in stock. almost no place has size small... med. size pops up here and there but yeah....
i use these for riding bike. I cut the gloves at the tips of the fingers, so I can use my cell phone...etc, and they keep my hands warmer than regular bike gloves when it's cold, plus they block more sun than regular gloves during hot days, which is important for my 4 to 8 hours rides. I double wrap the handlebars of my bike, so I don't need normal bike glove padding...
Was able to get in and replace lower control arms, ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, and motor mounts on a car using these gloves. They were fairly easy to pull on and off. They are now filthy from heavy greasy use but they protected my hands from most of the dirt and keep my hands from getting all cut up.
I'm a huge fan of gloves; I work faster with them. I've gone through over 15 pairs in the last 8 years or so; all different types, from $1 to $30.
For heavy duty work that doesn't require precision, get something else that's a lot thicker. For smaller screws and work that require you to pick up little objects, these are great! It fits well and is very thin, but if you use it for rough work, it'll wear through very quickly.
I'm in the household appliance sales and repair business and wear my gloves most of the time when I'm working. I can use the gloves when moving and/or repairing appliances without any problems. When doing repairs I can wear them and removed screws and such and can feel exactly what I'm doing and still enjoy the protection peace of mind by wearing the gloves.
I work a lot outside with appliance deliveries and such and yesterday it was 104 degrees and wearing the gloves were not uncomfortable at all with the wicking action of the fabric they are made of.
Didn't think this until after I was finished but yesterday I changed a compressor in a refrigerator in a home and did not take my gloves off from the the time I started until I started my truck an hour and 1/2 later. Nothing I did in the process required me to take them off. Even picking up schrader valves and small items are done with these gloves on. I have two pair: one pair I keep in my truck and one pair I keep on my desk so I'm sure to have a pair handy put on when I need them. I also have Two more pair I ordered from Amazon I keep in my drawer (unopened) encase the ones I use ever wear out. GREAT GLOVE!

I love these gloves, but I go through them faster than any other work glove. They often come apart at the seams in the finger tips, but they are more comfortable than any of my previous gloves, and for long days of manual labor, that's worth a lot.
I now have 4 pairs of these gloves --- they're great for protecting the hands from cuts and abrasions while working on cars or other household projects. They retain good dexterity...as they get dirty I toss them in a bucket for washing. An easy to use sizing chart is available for printing on the company's website.
They’re very nice gloves but don’t buy them for cold weather they’re kind of thin but they do protect my hands when I’m working
These gloves are great, I work as an electrical engineer so every now then I work with metal conduit and wires. They keep my hands from getting blisters, cuts, and scraps while working. They are pretty thin and tough, and make working with small items and/or in spaces easy.
The only thing is that if your job is intensive these gloves might not hold up as long you would like them to.
But other than that they're great gloves and everyone asks where I found the color combination.
doesn't protect my husband knukles from being busted but does definatly keep his hands cleaner, safe from those other knicks and cuts
