Dowellife Cut Resistant Gloves Food Grade Level 5 Protection, Safety Kitchen Cuts Gloves for Oyster Shucking, Fish Fillet Processing, Mandolin Slicing, Meat Cutting and Wood Carving, 1 Pair (Medium)

I wish I had bought these years ago.
I've sliced my fingers on mandolins and graters more times than I like to admit. The first time I used these was when I was grating Parmesan; usually I can't grate the entire wedge without also grating my fingertips so I end up with a decent sized chunk left over, this time I could use the fine grater all the way down to a tiny piece between my fingers. The second time I used these was when I was using a mandolin to slice strawberries; in the past I was afraid to do this out of fear of slicing off a fingertip, but this time I was able to slice the whole berry.
The gloves fit either hand so I can throw one in the dirty clothes and still use the other. I wash them with the towels and use the loops to hang dry.
In case you can't tell, I'm very pleased.

These cut resistant gloves work very well. I tested them with a sharp knife and I did not get a single scratch on the glove. I am uploading a video, please check it out yourself. Very impressive! Also, they are so light and very soft, with a completely snug, I can even type with them. They are the best carving gloves I have tried to date, but another bonus from their lack of bulk is that I can wear a leather finger guard (and it's still less bulky than some), so I believe they will last several times than others similar gloves. All in all, these gloves provide great protection from cuts, are comfortable to wear, and provide excellent grip and tactual feel. Definitely worth the price!

I have seen some other clown reviews slice a finger off these gloves when pressing it to a cutting board. They are missing the point - no pun intended. These offer a difficult to gain purchase on surface that will make accidental cuts much less likely. They do not turn your hands into Superman's hands. They work well with a mandolin. Not really hand specific. Wear it on your non-cutting hand when using a knife and (obviously) on your pushing hand when using a mandolin. I would not use a mandolin without one because those spikey little food grabbers do not work well and you will always resort to using your hand.

I purchased two sizes of Dowellife Cut Resistant Gloves - one size for my wife and a larger size for myself. My wife really likes the quality of these gloves when slicing and dicing meat or vegetables, and also when using them for grating cheese. They are not bulky or cumbersome and really do prevent scrapes and cuts from sharp kitchen utensils. I used my part of Dowellife gloves to replace an chain on a chainsaw, and the gloves worked perfectly - I did not get a single scratch or cut from the chain. Again, the gloves are surprisingly thin, which makes them very easy to use.

My boyfriend bought me these after I mangled my hand cutting carrots one day. I had my doubts. Could these silly little gloves actually withstand my klutziness? So like any rational human, I decided to put them on and start slicing and stabbing my hand to see if they work. (Isn't that what anyone would do?)

So stabbing protection is 3 stars. It works really well, but some of my sharpest knives could get through. Luckily, stabbing is not something we do as often as.....

Slicing! These gloves get 5 starts for their slicing protection. The only exception is a thickly serrated knife, which....how do you managed to slice yourself dead on, slowly enough to catch the fibers of the fabric, while not realizing it in time to pick up the knife? Actually....I can see myself doing that by accident. I'm that clumsy. Either way, five stars.

The gloves are seriously worth it. As for washing them, I typically wash them after each cooking session (which is a great reason to buy more than one pair!). Otherwise the smell of onion/garlic/bell pepper just lingers and I worry about sanitation. I use hot water -- hand wash or in the washer, and a mild soap. Then I let them air dry. It's really that simple!

My knife is very sharp, I have a lot of wound is my sword, I am very helpless, I buy this pair of gloves, it is very suitable size, very good package my hand, I can easily cut the meat, I no longer worry about a sharp knife, I am no longer bleeding, I cut my nails are no longer have to worry about, I am very happy

So let me begin with the fact that I've bought several cutting gloves and not one of them compare to this set. The fit is perfect unlike others I've bought. I have extremely sharp knives and I do almost al of the cooking. Being Cajun at heart all prep work is by hand and not a food processor. I got tired of cutting myself even though I'm very quick with my knives and precise which means I come very close to my fingers. Yes I do know how hold the items I'm cutting in place but it's so nice to have the insurance of these extremely well made gloves. Hats off to this company and yes i highly reccomend these gloves.

I go fishing as often as I can and usually end up have something to filet. Every once in a while I end up poking or nicking myself with my filet knife. I purchased these gloves and really like them. I generally only wear a glove on my left hand and hold the knife with my right hand. I like that the glove helps me grip the fish as well as protecting me from their sharp gill plates, fins and the sharp knife blade. The glove is pretty easy to wash after each use. I noticed that it does shrink a little after drying, but it seems to stretch back out enough to reuse without any issues. This is the only cut resistant glove I've tried, but it works exactly like I had hoped!

I bought these gloves after a nasty cut when my hand slipped on a very sharp mandolin slicer. I haven't tried the mandolin again, but I did use the gloves when I grated fresh ginger root on a microplane and I was able to get all the way to the last 1/4 inch without hurting myself. For this alone, the gloves are worth it.

I use these to work on knives that I make. They are cut resistant, not cut proof. They add one more layer of protection, but they aren't steel mesh gloves. DO NOT attempt what the person in the graphic is doing, you will lose several fingers. As for size, the chart was accurate for measuring.
