Heavy Duty Goatskin Leather Work Gloves for Men and Women. General Purpose Utility, Driver, Rigger, Safety, and Gardening Gloves (Small, Brown)

used gloves this morning for first time on blasted plants with sharp thorns that have fairly easily punctured through my other leather gloves. Not only the goatskin gloves under review feel as nice as dress gloves (their size runs a bit small) but not once my hands got punctured as I worked with them.
I also highly rate Exemplary Gardens, who sent an email with suggestions on maintaining the gloves, and advising that if there is a problem with the gloves, they want to make it right.

Gardening is my hobby so I have tried many many different types of gloves and these are without a doubt the best gloves I have ever worn. I have used these gloves for 6 months and they have stood up to thorns, rocks and dirt without a puncture or a tear in any seam. I bought a second pair in case my first pair ever wear out. Other purchasers asked about washing these gloves - why would you do this - these are work gloves - if they ever get wet or muddy, let them dry, put them on and clap your hands a few times. These gloves do not stiffen up and have stayed soft - really great gloves!

I go through leather gloves rather quickly when gardening as they go through a beating. I have several rose bushes, fruit trees, Cedar, Oak and Crabapple trees, and other landscaped shrubs besides a greenhouse. The gloves get wet and dirty. It seems the squirrels also like to steal them if I leave the gloves in my bucket outdoors. The gloves are comfortable and while my hands are small, these size small gloves are just a bit larger than a regular size small for women as they are roomier than other brands. Apparently, they are unisex gloves, so be sure to check the size chart before purchasing. I bought one pair of gloves and then lost a right handed glove to a squirrel. This time I bought five pairs of gloves - that's how good I think these gloves are. These gloves are better than any alternatives available at box hardware stores.

These goatskin gloves are extremely supple and yet strong enough for the daily tree pruning and brush clearing I put them through. They're also tough enough that I can grasp thorny invasive species and yank them up without getting holes in my hands. Granted, I'm on my third pair this year, but it's November, and none of the other gloves I've found have lasted over a month. Other gloves have goatskin palms and fingers but canvas on the backs of the hands and fingers, and thorns instantly find their way through. I can actually handle new shoots and seedlings with these gloves, as well.
I am very happy with these gloves and will soon order new ones for 2019.

I find them about one guage heavier than the thin leather long gauntlent rose handling gloves I use for thorns so they're quite comfortable in FL heat but heavy enough to not wear out fast and avoid hand injuries when handling stones and splintery lumber. Best of all, they allow tactile feel so I used them today while renailing some lattice panels.

I really like the feel of these gloves as they soft and do not irritate my hands. I am an avid gardener and I will continue to use them because I like them better than any others I have tried. They are soft, feel good, keep cool, and do not have edges that irritate. The main complaint I have is that the material does not hold up on the index fingers with continued use. I often use my index finger when weeding and unfortunately, the material wears out. This is normal for most gloves, but I was hoping for a better result with these particular gloves. I will continue to buy them as I have found nothing else that I like better, so I will simply buy four pairs to carry me over the spring and summer.

This is my second pair of these gloves not because my first pair wore out, I just lost them. I'd had the first pair about 2 months and I liked working in them. They are a tad tight for a large size and they will not protect your hands from rose thorns as I found out the first time I was trimming my roses. I don't particularly like the elastic gathered around the wrist, I like to be able to shake a glove off if I need to and not have to use both hands to pull them off.
I also got instructions for taking care of the gloves but I haven't got time for all of that, after all these are work gloves. So after leaving them out in the rain all night, letting them dry out in the hot sun and leaving mud caked on them, otherwise treating them just like any other glove I've owned, I was pleased to see that they seem to have suffered no ill effects from my mistreatment. However that was just in two months so I might be back in a few more months to update this review.

Very nice and supple leather but slightly thinner than I expected. I’m not sure they won’t puncture when working with old blackberry canes or removing old fencing. Still, it might be worth giving up a little thickness for the extra flexibility.

I’d also prefer the outer two fingers were cut a bit shorter than the index and middle finger, but the extra length is a minor issue and doesn’t really interfere when I’m using the gloves.

I waited a couple of months to see how these would hold up. They are the BEST gloves I've ever used - protective, thin enough to "feel," and comfortable. Won't buy any other kind now!

Beautifully supple garden gloves. I love goatskin gloves because they protect my hands from rose and blackberry thorns. These gloves are fabulous. Because they are soft, I have nearly the same level of dexterity and flexibility as with cotton gloves, but these are far more durable and strong. I have to hide them at home so that no one else uses them. And the price is excellent.
