Men's Waterproof Winter Gloves with Leather Palm, Large (Wells Lamont 7660L)

I have work gloves, I have waterproof gloves, I have insulated gloves. But until now those were three separate items. These Wells Lamont "Hydra Hyde" work gloves combine the above features into a single product. As a test, this morning I rode my ATV down to the livestock water tank in sub-freezing weather. Kept my hands nice and warm through the ride, so they have good wind resistance. After breaking the half inch of ice on top of the stock tank into several large pieces, I used these gloves to grab the ice sheets and pull them out of the tank. When finished, I dipped both hands into the freezing water as a test. These gloves kept my hands warm and dry throughout. Once the temperature rises above freezing, you will need a separate pair of work gloves, as these insulate so well that your hands will get too warm. This is an honest review, I paid for these gloves, and I have no affiliation with Wells Lamont or Amazon. Highly recommended.

they passed the Minnesota test,im a carpenter and have been working outside this winter,it has been 15 to 20 below zero some mornings and these gloves have kept my hands plenty warm,i have 3 pair as ur hands sweat a bit and inside of glove gets moist, some have said they had problems with liner pulling out when there hands were sweaty I have not had that issue if ur in the market for a good warm glove i highly recommend these, only other thing i have noticed is they run different sizes,i need a XXL and one pair fit really nice and another pair need a little stretching out..great gloves though.

Brand new these are very nice gloves. I used them for work and have held up very well. Extremely warm! However, like others have mentioned, your hands will start to sweat. And I mean SWEAT! I took them off after a 12 hour shift and and the insides were soaking wet. And that is the achilles heal of these gloves. They're so good they're too warm and once your hands start to sweat there goes the warmth. It took about a week for them to dry out, but I also sped up the process by using a hair dryer. If you don't plan on using these for any type of strenuous activity, heres your next pair of gloves. However, if you plan to work in them, you might want to consider something else.

I have used these gloves for a couple of years and love them. Very comfy, flexible and warm. Love the fact that you can buy XXL. I have not dunked them in water but have used them in snow and rain and my hands stay dry. Buying a second pair so that when the originals wear out I am sure to have a pair of the same ready to go!

My second pair. As most gloves work ok. But when really cold not the best. But I have not found any gloves when really cold will keep hands warm. So why pay way more, when these are as good.

I bought a pair of these for my son and myself and I find them an outstanding pair of gloves. I wanted some gloves to wear for light-duty use for daily chores and such. I have quite a bit of experience in outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, woodcutting, construction and the like. I also used to work as a material handler where most of my day put me outside in some very nasty weather, so I have some idea of what to look for when it comes to gloves that need to be durable, insulated, and waterproof.

I can say that I wish I had these 20 years ago when I spent most of my day outside in the winter!

Although my use of these gloves certainly won't put these gloves through their paces, my son's use of them, on the other hand (no pun intended) certainly will! He works in the well-drilling industry in the high-desert southwest, so he sees some of the toughest, wettest, hands-on activity you can experience - along with moderately cold weather that typically sees the temps drop well below freezing overnight.

After using his gloves for about a month, he says they deliver as promised: "They're warm, tough, and waterproof. They don't look so great after the first use, but hey - they are work gloves after all!!"

My hand size typically runs M to XL, depending on what kind of gloves I'm wearing. For nitrile disposable gloves worn while performing aircraft or automotive maintenance, I like the tight fit that medium provides. However, for work gloves, I typically use large but like to try them on before purchasing. I was hesitant on getting these in large and thought about going up to XL, but finally decided to take a chance on L. I'm glad I did because the large fits quite well.

I'll post future updates and see how these hold up in his line of work and how long he is able to use them.

Warmest gloves I've owned by far...find myself cooling my hands now! I work outside in northern winter climate for 4 months of the year. Have tried many different gloves. First pair I've not been disappointed in. Temperature outside is 12°F and these feel like they can handle -5 to -10 easily.

These gloves worked well for me. The only issue I ran into is the last time I took them off the liner got bunched up and I need to fix it still. Not a big deal but just a note. The gloves seemed plenty warm to be out in the cold all day even while not moving very much... good gloves tho, also much cheaper than ski gloves gut not as breathable

I put the left glove on my hand and while my fingers were sliding inside the glove, I felt a hole in the material. Rather than send the gloves back and get a refund, I just forced the glove inside out. I then asked a family member to stitch the separated material together. She did so with a needle and thread and it's as good as new. I'm sure these gloves will keep my hands warm.

Our Idaho winters can be brutal. Finding durable, warm gloves can be a challenge. I bought these for my husband who goes through 3 or 4 pairs of gloves each winter. The fit, warmth and sturdiness of these gloves were perfect for snow removal and outdoor work. I would definitely purchase these again!
