Maxiflex 34-874 Ultimate Nitrile Grip Work Gloves, Medium, 3 Piece

I had been buying the Elite MaxiFlex 34-274 gloves and thought they were the perfect gloves until I tried these. These gloves are thicker than the Elites and hold up substantially better when working with course material. They feel a little tight compared to the same size Elites, but not enough to warrant buying a larger size.

For handling smooth material (ie. boxes) I would recommend the Elite MaxiFlex 34-274 gloves. For those working with non-smooth items I think these Ultimate MaxiFlex gloves are ideal.

One small negative is, in my experience, these gloves are not touch screen compatible whereas the Elite MaxiFlex gloves are.

These are the only gloves I'm willing to purchase as they do provide greater dexterity and have pretty good grip compared to other gloves I've used. The only caveat is that they do wear rather quickly if you're constantly opening boxes or stacking pallets which I do all day at work. In the 8 months I've been using these gloves I've gone throw 8 pairs (3 orders) of them as the grip coating wore away and the fabric ripped open at the finger tips on all of them and my 9th pair are about to be on the chopping block too. I would love for these to be more durable but I guess the cheapness of them makes up for it's lack of durability.

Pros:
Grip
Comfortable
Easy to work with as opposed to bulky gloves
Cheap

Cons:
Grip wears away fairly quickly
Starts Ripping open at the finger tips once the grip coat wears away
Lasts about 3 months (1 month a pair) before they need replacing.

All in all, I recommend them but be prepared to re-purchase them every three months depending on your line of work and what you use them for.

For general purpose use, these are amazing! They aren't the glove I'm going to use to cut down trees and split wood with, or stack cinder blocks with, but for lighter use they are perfect. I use them for yardwork, vehicle maintenance, and all kinds of odd jobs around the home/garage/work, and I even used them when I had to tape several hundred boxes together for a large order I needed to pack and ship.
They have great dexterity and grip and are pretty durable. They can be machine washed and dried, just make sure you dry them on low as anything higher will mess up the nitrile coating.

I had a set of these previously from a job site and loved them. When the coating on the palm and fingers wore off after years of use, I knew I needed replacements ASAP. These are exactly as I remember my old set when they were new (but a different color). They have wonderful grip, fit tightly and stretch so they aren't uncomfortable, and are mildly moisture resistant in the coated areas. I love to use these in the garden, when I'm using a tool in a repetitive way (to prevent blisters), and any time I need a good all purpose glove. If you're looking for something for shock absorption, these aren't for you. But if you need to keep your dexterity, these are supreme.

Love these gardening gloves! They have just the right amount of grip and protection, while also being very flexible, comfortable, and the perfect fit for me. No odd "gaps" and not too tight. It doesn't even feel like I'm wearing gloves (they aren't bulky and I can still use my fingers to do detailed work easily), but they really help protect my skin. I use these for basic yard work and gardening and I have another pair (different brand/style) that are longer gloves (they stretch up to my elbows!) for jobs that require a little more protection. Together they are all I need.

Maxiflex ultimate is a top of the line breathable work glove designed for comfort and dexterity in a variety of work applications. Applications include automotive, assembly, stocking and general materials handling.

Very comfortable gloves. Thin material for high dexterity. They do tear easily, but helped me from cutting up my hands really bad when my hacksaw slipped and when a drill bit snapped. I'm an electrician and my fingers and hands get cut up by boxes all the time, thsee help prevent that while offering superb grip.

Despite the fact that I am a machinist working in extremely volatile places like refineries and power plants I only require a thin Shield of protection that these gloves offer. There are some slightly thicker cut proof gloves out there for trades that are tougher on the hands like pipefitters and Boilermakers. My only complaint is that the rubber coating could be ever so slightly thicker to not allow metal shavings to penetrate the fingertips and palm. Otherwise there is no other glove I would have on my hands.

Nice tight fit while maintaining adequate puncture resistance. Used these for trimming a spruce tree and didn't get poked at all. Have also used them while doing some electrical wiring and they worked well with the couple times I was dealing with braided wire.

The ventilation on the back is *really* good. I'm sure these will be great as it gets warmer, but they make things a bit more than chilly when the temps are in the 30's and 40's. Look to a different glove for chillier applications.

These are excellent. I work on garage doors, and I encounter a ton of dust, grease, oil, dirt, etc. I got these because my hands were getting wrecked by all the constant scrubbing I had to do to get them clean. These gloves not only keep my hands clean, and protected, but they are also thin enough that I can handle small nuts and bolts, make electrical connections and even use my touchscreen phone without having to ever take them off! Finally, after two weeks of abuse, i had to hand-wash them because some of the gunk was starting to get through the fabric on the top of the gloves. I'm placing a second order as soon as I post this review.

These have been an excellent alternative for me to disposable nitrile gloves. I use them as a home mechanic on cars and bikes and the dexterity and durability are great for this use. I can see how others would wear through them more quickly, but if you're concerned about keeping grease off of your hands and are tired of throwing out disposable ones these are great.
