I have been using these gloves for landscaping and other projects (such as helping friends move) for the past ten years.
I carry an extra set in my truck. Quite often I will be helping a friend who has no gloves, so I lend them the extra set.
The friend usually goes, "I love these"............so I give them and need a replacement set again for my truck.
You can now understand why I purchase these in lots of four!!!
The softness of the leather give me great feel for my work subject whether it is holding a nail or a delicate plant.
The re-enforced rough leather piece across the palm allows these gloves to last a long time if you are operating
a shovel or pick axe.
Trying to find XXL work gloves at retail stores is tough! But not as tough as these bad boys! I am a long-distance truck driver and can go thru a pair of cheap work gloves in a few weeks. These fit great, wear great, look great!
Some reviewers are complaining that they aren't large enough. I don't know what size gloves I wear, but I wear a size 14 shoe and these gloves start out tight, but fit me well after a short break-in period.
UPDATE 10/22/13: My first order is as reviewed above. I have since placed two more orders--one pair and then two more pairs. Both orders shipped quickly, and the gloves were of identical size, form, and quality to my first order...but they shipped me light grey gloves on both shipments. These are work gloves, so color is not important to me. I deducted one star for not shipping the same color gloves as posted.
These are great gloves. The large fit me with no extra room. The leather is soft enough to be comfortable. I can see these lasting a long time. One thing I did not notice, and should be mentioned, is there is an extra leather strip across the inside of the palm. This is great to protect from blistering whin doing lots of gripping. However, I did not want that feature, so I will be looking for another pair of gloves without it. That said, I really like these and they will work nicely for certain chores.
Fit and finish are excellent...very soft and yet durable. I will buy again. They are my only work gloves. I'm currently remodeling my bathroom...and I couldn't imagine using gloves that didn't fit well. I think that there is a distinct difference between gloves meant for lifting, toting, and demolition, and gloves that can be used for construction. Gloves that feel right when your driving three inch screws, measuring, cutting, and building, like these gloves.
I like them so much, that I put an extra pair in my truck, so that I'll have them when I need them.
Great gloves, all three pairs were loved more than me and walked right out of the shop. Even though they were XXL, they were still too small. May just have to buy 1st baseman's gloves.

The gloves are comfortable to work with & hold up fairly well. I wish they would strengthen the finger tips, that is the weak point for me. Be careful when ordering, they come from different suppliers & some are better than others. I ordered (3) pairs at once, the order was split. Got (2) pair right away & the other pair was routed from the mid west, to the west coast (60 miles from my house & then to Delaware before being cancelled.
I found them just about right, you really do not want 'too large' of a work glove, the excess material will just get in the way and be a nuisance.
these fit just about right; easy to slip on but will not slop around or fall off, and I can spread open my hand almost all the way before the leather between thumb & first finger (web of hand) pulls taunt.
so plenty of room for gripping but it might be difficult to give the Vulcan hand salute
These are high quality gloves that will serve well for most uses. Sized accurately so they fit. I actually bought two pair in different sizes for my wife and I and both of us found a great fit.
