It's taken forever to find a BBQ glove that fits a woman's hand (We BBQ & smoke too, ya know!) My hand measures 3.5" across and these gloves (medium size) fit perfectly, cover most of my lower arm, and I can actually grab things without a ton of extra floppy glove material impeding my grasp! In fact with these gloves I can pluck a single hard boiled egg out of the steamer just as easily as I can pull a large brisket off the smoker. The gloves have protected from steam and heat perfectly, are easy to wash and are completely comfy inside.
I've been using these gloves working in a brewery for over two years now and they're great. They provide adequate heat protection from hot brewery liquids but still provide enough dexterity for working tri-clamps and other mechanical things. Do your best to keep them dry between uses and they will last a while. I have a glove dryer to keep them from staying wet and wash them periodically. I buy a pair 2-3 times a year depending on use and care.
I bought these for a chem lab that required heavy duty gloves. The dexterity was very poor and kept breaking the glass capillaries when I tried to wear them doing capillary action, and overall made some experiments cumbersome. Otherwise I think they were great. I definitely felt safe handling toxic materials in them since they had high material integrity. Also very heat resistant.
I purchased these gloves for use in cheese making-- for dealing with dipping my hands repeatedly into acidic whey solutions that are often at uncomfortably hot temperatures. So far, great! The gloves are nice and thick, with enough terry cloth to protect against heat, and enough neoprene to.... well, ok, you don't need a lot of neoprene to protect against acidity-- but they feel thick enough overall to make me believe they will last quite well.
4 stars instead of 5 because: They are the tiniest bit thick for maximum dexterity-- while I CAN achieve everything I need to do while wearing them, more delicate operations FEEL a little bit clumsy-- but that's a decent price for good heat/chem protection. Also, I wish the cuffs were just a little bit longer, perhaps another 3-4 inches. Otherwise, AWESOME.
These are fantastic gloves. The only two downsides I've found is that (a) they're not puncture proof, I managed to stab myself with a thorn and now there's a hole clear through the thumb part, and (b) they get really sweaty after a couple of hours of work.
But aside from that, they're really comfortable, fit well, thick, and were great for dealing with dangerous chemicals. I'm buying a second pair to replace the pair with the thorn puncture.

Description
Superior Heavy-duty neoprene grilling gloves feature acrylic terry lining for thermal insulation. Diamond-grip finish on palms for increased wet/dry grip. It has good abrasion, cut resistance, which makes it a great choice for working in both the food industry (deep fryers) and on your home grill, with heat stability up to 400°F. This makes gloves suited to hot/cold liquid applications as well, perfect for steam applications like autoclaves or any situation where intermittent contact up to 400°F occurs. (The time to pain at 400°F is 16 seconds. Not recommended for use above 500°F.) Neoprene resists the effects of aging, sunlight, ozone, oxidation and weather, as well as a broad range of oils and chemicals that attack natural rubber gloves like acids, caustics, oils, grease, and many solvents.
Bought these for high temperature protection when brewing. They have lasted well so far and offer good thermal protection against high heat. Would recommend them if your looking for a good high temp glove for brewing or food prep.
Worked great for butchering turkeys and dunking them in boiling hot water!
In the petroleum industry, it's difficult to find gloves that really protect my hands. These do the trick, and I really, really like the lining, which is comfortable and absorbent. Price was good too.
Comfortable and effective. Convenient for moving or flipping food. Easy to work in.
These gloves work very well and seem to be durable. The sizing is a bit tight, you might want to go up a glove size when ordering.
