I'm in the military and with my job I have to lift heavy objects time to time and also work with various types of equipment that require safety equipment. The ones given to me felt uncomfortable and I felt like my hands weren't really protected very well haha. So I bought these, and wow what an amazing buy. And yes I do trust my hands with these haha.
- Doesn't feel like my hands are being restricted compared to other work gloves.
- Wicks moisture and vents through mesh for a cool feel.
- Quality of the material used is flexible and durable.
- Feels comfortable and able to work with ease.
- Padding is in the right locations needed.
- Velcro wrist straps stays on during use.
- You can use your phone with these on.
- Good in different weather conditions.
- Grips tools and equipment well.
- Very appealing design.
Some people may find this to be somewhat tight during first use (I did), however after a short time they will stretch and expand to fit accordingly to the your hands for a proper fit. I've had these for almost 2 months now and they're still working well. For the price this is a great deal and the way it was manufactured is amazing. I love using these when I work out in the field or work at home.
These Handyman Flexgrip Gloves are some of my favorite work gloves and I keep a couple of pairs on hand all the time. I always use gloves for yard work and my diy projects. I'm not a dandy with soft hands, I just like the ability to grab things without concerns of cutting my fingers or getting splinters. I also like the better grip when lifting heavy objects or hand and power tools that gloves provide. So, over the years I have tried many, many brands of different fabrics. Early on and for many years, I would only use leather gloves. But I have found this combination of leather and fabric made by CLC Custom to be superior to plain leather gloves. They fit better on my hands and allow full dexterity of my fingers while having the strength and durability of leather fingers and palms. I also like that the gloves are very durable and last a good long time. I appreciate that I can find them on Amazon for a great price and with fast shipping. I currently have two pair in use and another two on shelf unused. I guess you can say I like them.
I was a little skeptical at first, seemed like these gloves were offering too much for the price...
They're great and work very well. When I'm out in the field I can use my phone without having to take the gloves off which is great when all I want to do is skip a track or pause the music. The padding is thick enough to reduce vibrations from power tools, tractor, mower and prevent blisters from hand tools but not so thick to throw off your grip. Even covered in mud and sweat they remain flexible, where other gloves just sort of clump together these don't. Hold up well after a lot of use and a couple of washes, I throw mine in with towels warm / hot wash.
Only real complaint was a screw up on my part, I should have gone large but the sizing said medium. I prefer a slightly looser fit but even being just on the tight side, they are comfortable long term. After about an hour or two I don't even realize I'm wearing them until I wipe the sweat away.
Really good gloves at a good price, I will buy again when I need to.
I lost my pair of husky work gloves I was given within a month of my new job so I started looking for a replacement worthy to be worn these hard working hands😏 I wanted something that was good but didn't mind spending 30$+ on a pair of gloves since I use them daily and needed a pair of great fitting, comfortable, durable gloves. I ended up with these gloves since I was frustrated picking between 4 different gloves I wanted and couldn't pick one and decided to try something that looked promising and had plenty of reviews. Man was I glad I went with these gloves! Paid less than 15$ and they meet almost all my criteria! I've been using these since mid November and so far here are my list of pro and cons, I update this list if anything changes.
Pros-
-Padded palm
-Great for tools with alot of vibration (hammer drill, impact drill, jackhammers idk)
-If your moving alot of cinder blocks, bricks, and wood.
-comfortable!
-Moving tools, large boxes ladders, with less hand fatigue
-build quality feels good, the more you wear em the more they conform to your hand
Cons-
-Needs a less boxy / tighter finger fitment
-Not the best grip for very smooth (almost glass like surfaces) if you don't grip extremely hard whatever your holding might fall
-poor touch screen feedback when wearing these, they do advertise they work with touch screens so this was slight let down, but I'm busy 85% of the time so taking the gloves off to answer an email or a call every once in a while isn't to bad.
8/10 overall!
These are great work gloves. Snug fit, nice padding, easily machine washable... The list goes on for how well these are as gloves. I have been using these for work (IT tech) and to work on my car mostly and they've held up pretty well. The only thing that didn't hold up is the touch screen areas on the gloves. And I mean they didn't hold up at all. I used my gloves twice and by the third time I could barely use the touchscreen fingertips. Now after about 7 months those touchscreen tips don't work at all. But that's just one small part of using these gloves.
If you are looking for gloves to use with your touchscreen phone while doing moderately intense work these may not be a long term solution for you.

Description
This product is designed for carpentry, automotive, basic utility, and Plumbing. It works effectively and is convenient to use as well. It is definitely a great quality product.
This is my second pair. I am pretty tough on gloves as I have a 1.6 acre yard with 26 flower garden beds, an acre of lawn, a half acre of woods, and a huge vegetable garden. The only reason I needed new ones this year is because I was using last year’s for masonry work. The bricks just tore them up. The company has done some redesigns that might help.
My wife and I just now get me some new ones for Father’s Day every year. I still have last year’s, but I duct taped the fingers where they wore through.
As an aside, I cut off the Velcro flaps on both sets. I don’t need gloves to fit so tightly to my wrists. I need to be able to take them off regularly for micro things.
A good product. I like them. Seems like a good company.
I ordered these gloves, Custom Leathercraft 125M Handyman Flex Grip Work Gloves, Medium, when I got a bucket pocket pouch, from the same makers. I like them for the fit and feel. I can wear them for quite a while, before having to remove them for a hand breather. They are snug, without being binding and are comfortable from the first time I pulled them on. The wrist closure is tight and is better than Velcro. I like them for four stars and my revisit this review and change it up or down as necessary.
I bought a couple pair of these for work and I noticed one thing I wanted to point out. One of the pair had a tag from a 2009 model range while the other was a 2015. Same model number on both, but the pictures of the gloves that were falling apart were from the 2009 model range.
It appears that CLC made a design change this last year and added some padding to the newer model. The newer ones are much more comfortable and have quite a bit more padding in the palm of the glove. Time will tell on the reliability, but given the other changes, it looks like the design was updated a bit to address of the issues that I was reading about. The newer model also has a shorter "wristband" for lack of a better way to explain. I prefer the shorter model as the taller wristband gets in the way when I wear a watch. The newer model also added the finger tip material that will allow you to use a smartphone or similar device whereas the previous model is just a leather fingertip.
Both fit rather well and seemed to follow the sizing guide that someone had posted. You can google for it if you did not see it in the questions section.
I also tried the Kobalt High Performance gloves from Lowe's and these CLC gloves fit better, have more padding, and I was not impressed w/ all the plastic junk on the Kobalt gloves. I do not see myself going back for another of the Kobalt gloves after wearing these CLC gloves.
In all, great gloves and I would recommend to anyone looking for a solid, general heavy duty glove.
For how cheap it is compared to big brand names, these are one of the best gloves I have used, and I have been through dozens as an aviation mechanic. They are incredibly comfortable with palm and knuckle padding. My hands are big with short fingers and swell even more in summer or working heat, but the inner fabric stretches well, while my fingers ALWAYS have free unrestricted motion for the tight aircraft wing spaces. Simply feels like my hands are armored.
A bonus - unlocking and using the phone at work without removing gloves.
Good: These gloves fit,.. Well.. Like a glove! The med fits like a dream. Very easy to see how they are the best selling glove on amazon. The padding is very handy. They are somewhat durable. Feel great and break in nice.
Before the bad... I'm in excavation and that can be rough on gloves. Chains, shovels, hand tools, etc. Dirt is always a problem for gloves, and seems to find a way right through a couple of spots on these, along with the grease! I've used the basic unlined leather gloves for way to long and need something better. I'm extremely picky and particular when it come to gloves. After spending $80 on a pair of lined Carhart gloves that wore holes in the fingers after ONE Utah winter, I have lowered expectations for Any glove. It's very difficult to find a glove online that works well without getting 4 different ones and trying them on.
Bad: the seams at the finger tips eventually get settled right under your fingernails and saw back and forth when you start to break them in. The padding wears down quick. Some of the stitches start ripping sooner than expected. They are a nice pair of gloves, just not up to excavator standards. If you're not in the dirt with heavy equipment all day they may be perfect for you.
