The interior part of the gloves are dark grey plastic like material which increases grip and handling things. And the upper part is breathable cloth which is very comfortable to wear for hours. These are not winter gloves so expect running a little bit tight or loose depending on your size selection. Additionally, these are NOT steel-mesh gloves so do not expect your fingers to survive through saw machines and always be careful while working!
These are exactly what I was looking for in wood carving gloves. I use both hands when I carve so I needed a PAIR of gloves. Most only come in a 'one size fits all', meaning use with either hand. I needed fitted gloves. They are multi purpose, too. Use in any work situation from workshop to garden. These gloves will protect your hands from most anything EXCEPT punctures. There isn't a glove on the market that can protect against punctures. It's saved me from at least 3 nasty cuts already and there was absolutely no damage to the glove at all. Oh, they are very comfortable and the medium fits this woman's hands perfectly! The wrist does start to irritate (as in itching) after a long carving session. I just move the wrist around and continue to carve. So, all in all, these are PERFECT. The price, I feel, is exceptional, too. Amazon is MY go-to shopping store! No crowds, no parking hassles and GREAT prices. My favorite one-stop shopping place. ;o)
Was so happy to find a seller of these gloves on amazon again.
I work in a saw mill and cut 2x4's on one saw and fling them into another, and the dyneema fabric holds up well to the abrasion. Leather gloves get holes in 3 days, these I can wear almost a month, and the fingers are not tight on arthritic knuckles.
I did a lot of "research" trying to determine what the best cut resistant glove was for me. I felt like this was worth giving a try given the positive reviews and the price. I don't think this price can be beat. I have used these two times and not had any problems with them. I cannot speak to the durability, but I can tell already these will last longer than typical leather gloves. They are cut resistant. I took a knife to them (not worn) and no cut. I plan on buying several more!
2016 Update: I have been using this set of gloves for moderate use including working with wood, rocks, and metal. This summer I noticed the pad of the middle finger on the right glove wore a hole. Shortly after the middle finger pad of the left wore a hole. I bought these fall of 2015 so to get roughly 8-10 months of solid use out of them seems worth it to me. The palm side grip material wore off rather fast, maybe a few months, but I did not find myself losing grip on objects.
I was hoping to have a set of gloves that wouldn't wear holes in the fingers, but perhaps I'm wishing for the impossible. Nevertheless this has lasted the longest of any pair of gloves I have owned. I will purchase more!
I work with a CNC router and metal fabrication. These gloves are not good for handling sheet metal because they are very slippery on metal as well as acrylic and polycarbonate sheets. They are thin enough to write with, so these could be great for people that handle sharp objects but nothing with a heavy smooth service.

I have been using these gloves exclusively for a month. I install retrofit windows and pre-hung exterior doors daily. About 75% of my work includes demolition and disposal of existing materials: window frames and sashes, glass panes, broken glass, door jambs and casings, wood shards, nail- and screw-embedded wood and aluminum. These gloves have been wonderful for handling those materials. The cut protection is second to none. NOTE: These gloves are not non-slip. For non-slip, see Pakel High Performance Non-Slip Level 5 Cut Resistant Knit Wrist Gloves. [Review edited 8/15/18. -Daniel A.]
UPDATE 8/25/18: At the suggestion of the seller, I bought the non-slip version nine days ago and I am a happy customer. These gloves give very good grip when carrying heavy, smooth-faced materials: pre-hung doors, furniture, etc. And, like their non-grip counterparts, they're excellent for any task that requires the handling of sharp or rough materials. I bought an extra pair just for yard work.
Gloves are holding up far better than expected. I've tried lots of cut resistant gloves and these have held up much longer than any others I have tried. I handle metal parts ranging from cold rolled steel, galvanized steel and many grades of aluminum. Nothing has sliced through, nor are there any wear through spots on the gloves. I've been wearing the same pair of gloves for two full work weeks now. I typically wear out an average 3 cotton terry gloves in an 8 hour shift my company supplies. That comes out to 15 cotton terry gloves I toss in the trash per work week. Grant you I'm not paying for those gloves. But I am on blood thinners and I would rather wear something that has proven to protect my hands.
WE had to replace a bunch of broken windows and were so much more protected using these gloves. They offer excellent grip, are very comfortable and protective. Nearly cut my pants in the process but never a problem for my hands - critical safety gear. Hope we don't have to do any windows again for a long time but we cut a lot of fish(50-100/yr) and butcher a few animals every year and we will continue to use these very moderately priced safety gloves. Used some like this for fish this summer and nary a nick - which is unusual.
They are great. I work at a print shop where it is essential to have protective gloves that fit snug when loading paper for the binder. However, as good as it protects your hands from the straps I wish the rubber would last long. In a few days I started to wear it off when holding the shrink wrap as I wrap the skids. This also diminished how well I can grab bad papers out of the bundle without having to take them off constantly. If it weren't for that it would be an excellent product.
Wears great. Fits true to size for my tiny hands. I had no problems at all handling the cactus in my yard.
They wash up easily too! Just throw them in the laundry on gentle in cool water and allow to air dry with MINIMAL detergent in a full load after you bang off the excess dry dirt and/or sand.
Winning the battle with cacti when you buy these! Get a second pair if you work outdoors with thorns or cacti! You won't regret it.
My reviews are based on my usage. I am not paid or given free products for my reviews like many others are.
