Tried working on a big multi-day job in my attic with fiberglass insulation in a sweatshirt and jeans.
Thought if I was careful it would be fine. That lasted one day.
Got these coveralls out of desperation because I really didn't think anything could stop that <insert swear word> fiberglass.
Wow was I wrong.
These coveralls allowed me to work for hours in fiberglass insulation without any itching at all.
End of the day nothing got through to my skin. I was sweating like a butcher but I'll take that trade off.
Great for keeping spray foam off your skin too.
And the blue badge made me feel like I a NASA astronaut.
They do wear out (and get covered in spray foam) so get the 6 pack. I used 4 over the course of 21 days.
I'm 6'4" and 205 and the 2XL size fit well.
I bought this item to wear while I'm working in the crawlspace and attic, removing old insulation and sealing cracks. The biggest real-world benefit of using Tyvek disposable coveralls vs. my fabric coverall is that fiberglass and mineral wool don't stick to Tyvek. Fiberglass fragments don't penetrate the material. Polyurethane caulk and foam do stick to it very effectively but at least it won't get on your skin. Spider webs wipe off easily, too.
I bought a pack of six coveralls, expecting to discard them fairly often due to wear and tear, but the coveralls are proving to be more durable than I expected. The weakest point is the zipper.
Not only does it keep the insulation fragments and foam off of me much more effectively than a fabric coverall, the hood and cuffs prevent creepy-crawly bugs from invading my personal space while I'm crammed into a dark corner under the house. That's probably more of a mental hazard from watching too many bug horror movies than an actual possibility, but still, if a wolf spider tries to make a dash up my leg it's good to know that the entrance is blocked, and there's no way a paper wasp can drop down my collar. Your phobias may vary.
I didn't understand why the sizes work the way they do. I don't wear an XL in anything but I bought XL and it was still too small for me! I'm 6'0 and thin and I wish I had bought XXL. It fits fine until I try to climb a ladder and then the arms and legs are too short.
Sizing aside, the material seems durable enough, I duct taped the cuffs to my boots and gloves and they didn't tear until I went to remove the tape. I wore this for a few hours in a relatively cool temperature environment and didn't feel overly sweaty, though I purposely didn't wear much under it in order to keep cool. I imagine this becomes a sauna on a hot day but it should keep all of the sweat contained. I'm glad I had this working with insulation.
I'm 6'3" and bought a 3xl. I highly recommend a 3xl vs 2xl. I'm thin and talk so I don't need the gut space but need the hight. This one is still not roomy for my shoulders and the arms are a bit short but better than the 2xl.
Highly recommended to people that skin fur bearing animals like raccoon and rabbit. After thinking I was careful I brought fleas home.....NEVER AGAIN. I rather look like the "marshmallow man" than spend 2 months poisoning for fleas. I also some times treat the outside with bug spray or that 6 month tick/misquote spray for added protection. Then will add off to the outside if I think I need it.
With 3xl I can easily fit a jacket under it for winter skinning. Like I said I'm fairly thin so take that into consideration with room.
Maybe I will have to buy a 4XL to get extra hight room.......i wish they would make 3xl just 1 inch taller. This works but come on. I'm not fat I'm tall think about making like 2xl tall. That would be great.
I purchased these for my husband as a gag gift, but knew that he would use them. We have yellow jacket nests in our back yard that have sent him to hospital at least once. Now he can mow the yard AND scare the neighbors! Win win.

Longer zipper extends to chin for complete coverage of neck area. Elastic openings for tighter fit at wrist and at ankle. Comfort fit design based on extensive wearer input to provide our most comfortable garment design that enables a greater range of movement while stretching and bending, provides a more tailored fit, offers reinforcement in high stress areas for fewer blowouts, utilizes a longer zipper for easier donning and doffing and an elastic waist to better position the garment. Tyvek garments are composed of flash spun high density polyethylene which creates a unique, nonwoven material available only from DuPont. Tyvek provides an ideal balance of protection, durability and comfort of any limited use fabric technology. Tyvek fabric offers an inherent barrier to particles down to 1 micron in size. Protection is built into the fabric itself; there are no films or laminates to abrade or wear away. Tyvek fabric's durability advantage over microporous film and SMS fabrics delivers consistently better barrier, even after wear and abrasion. Applications include lead and asbestos abatement/remediation, general maintenance/operations, spray painting, general clean-up.
I'm 6'1" and 260 pounds (tall and most my extra weight in my gut) and I bought these in the 2xl and they are a near perfect fit for me all the way around and it was the right size for me to get them in. I really like the elastic fit at the ankles and wrists and that they come with the hood protection too.
These appear to be very good quality so far. I am tearing down a 2200 sq ft house so I wear these mostly when dealing with insulation and when I get into ripping out the ceilings and walls as this is an old house and lots of animal debris in the critter crawl space of the ceiling - nasty job! I am 5'5" and 135 lbs and I ordered XL so I had room to move, lift my arms, and wear coveralls under these. I think they are the perfect size for what I need. I love the hood so I do not have things going down my neck! I will buy again if I need more
I bought a pack of these because I needed one when I was replacing a fan in the bathroom and had to go up into the attic with blown insulation. I think it is easier to order 1 size up with these and it is easy to get them on and off and also get a few uses out of it with out ripping it. As they can be a little pricey at times getting a few uses out of them is worth it. I have used the same one to work in the attic moving around the insulation and re doing the drywall after putting in a new fan, sanding/painting and spraying fluid film a couple of times while laying on cement. That gets the suit pretty dirty but still kept my clothes clean. So yes they are worth having a few extra suits around. I also used the tyvek tops and bottoms / suits at work when cutting fiberglass sheets.
We bought these to clean out and demo the inside of a house where there was a fire and the tenant was a hoarder and left the house totally disgusting. We did not want to get all of the mess on our clothes and this worked perfectly! It fit well and was pretty durable although a few times we ran into nails and they did put holes in the coveralls but that is to be expected. They did a great job in protecting our clothes too. You can't wear something bulky underneath but I wore leggings and a long sleeved t-shirt and my husband wore sweats and the fit was still good. We got the 6-pack because we threw them away at the end of each day and ended up buying 2 more 6-packs because they worked so well.
Keeps stuff off you as intended. Durable enough to trounce through underbrush for an entire day and not be ripped. Doesn't breathe, which means it also functions as a weight loss device - think wrestlers running in garbage bags. Cheap enough to play in poison sumac/ivy all day and throw away when done.
Only downside - runs small. XL's fit my smallish frame of 5' 8" and 180ish muscular build. No other clothing article I have is bigger than a large...
