Safety first. In the past I never cared about wearing gloves in the kitchen until I cut my fingers in the kitchen recently, after a few days of not being able to expose my hands in the water due to the injury,. a friend recommended I try the cut resistant gloves and I am happy I did. I was able to cook and cut in the kitchen with no issues at all. highly recommend this product.
I bought these gloves to cut raw meat, cooked meat, or vegetables. They gave me the extra protection that I need. My husband usually carves barbecued chicken, beef, ham and so on with an electric knife, and I would always be so nervous when he would do that. Now I can relax and walk away without worrying that he will cut his finger. These gloves are good as extra protection to prevent the knife from sliding and causing an accident. They are really nice!
It is very lightweight yet it does what it promises to do. I wear it when I am using a slicer. Now I can cut potato to the very end without worrying about hurting myself. I do realize that the glove is best used to prevent cutting/slicing movement. If you poke the tip of a knife against it, the tip will go right through.
I have normal hands for a woman, size large is about right.
So I saw one of these cut resistant gloves on youtube and wanted to try it for myself. I've been cut a good 3 times in the past half a year while prepping food so thought I give these a shot. I bought the large version and fitment is a bit tight for my hands but they work to my advantage because I have a tighter more precise grip of my items.
So now to the test: Not knowing what to expect. I used the sharp tip of the knife and poked myself. I can still feel a bit of sharpness but it doesn't cut you. Of course, that's not how you use it and I tested it using a normal side slice and pretty much did not feel a thing. Overall, great so far. Haven't tested it in action while prepping food but will update later. Overall good so far.
I bought these as a dirty santa gift with my siblings. Our theme was "Useful but disappointing". My brother works in a factory as a coiler and ended up with these. He was actually thrilled and said they would be perfect for his work. They do seem quite sturdy yet flexible. Color and look is identical to the photo shown.

I always grate blocks of cheese rather than buy the pre-shredded stuff at the market. I've gotten many skinned knuckles during this process. This lead me to purchase these gloves and they work perfectly. I can finally use my cheese grater without worrying about cutting up my fingers. I also use it while slicing veggies on my mandolin! They're incredibly strong and I feel safe using them. Perfect addition for any home chef!
The gloves work as it describes. I wore them every time when I have to cut or trim the meat and not worry about to cut my fingers.
I recommend this item because prior to getting these gloves I would always accidentally cut myself with the knife while preparing food...now that I bought these gloves I can be sure I won't cut myself anymore! It fits well and doesn't interfere with what I'm chopping
I didn't look to actually take a knife to my hands, but I was using these while cleaning plastic 3D parts with a knife and a few times I could see how they work well...they are a little snug for my hands (extra large was purchased too), but I'd rather they be snug when handling things anyway.
I ordered size L and they are more like a size M in other gloves. Very small. I'm male so perhaps the sizing is for a female? Too much of a hassle to return. However, they are cut-resistant and do the job. If sizing weren't off, I'd rate five stars.
