Let me just start out by saying that I've bought into BS from countless glove manufacturers about what their product is "guaranteed" to provide as far as dexterity, durability, comfort and "waterproof" design. This glove is the S***. I am outside in the worst conditions of Michigan for a minimum of 11 hours a day, 5 days a week working with every hand tool you could think of doing intensive labor and these bad boys have gotten me through better than I even expected after my experiences with ALL the other brands I've regretfully wasted money on and tested. The only thing I can agree on with any of the negative reviews on this glove is about the slightly limited dexterity. Yeah, sure more dexterity would be a plus but let's be real here, having a durable glove that ACTUALLY keeps your hands warm and dry is absolutely going to have quite a bit of material in its design so that inherently will effect Dexterity! I don't know how anyone could ever expect to find a waterproofed work glove without this being a factor. So with all of that being taken into consideration, this glove truly could not have been made better. For all of you out there who are sick of dumping cash on garbage gloves like I was, Look no further.
Great gloves, very waterproof and pretty warm. We were framing a structure in 25-30 degree temperatures ( snow and freezing rain included....timing is everything!) and we were able to do our job. Were they toasty warm, no, but let's be real!, as long as we kept moving we were fine. We could handle our tools ( nails guns, circ saws, hammers etc) with no problems. Picking up a single nails was not as easy as bare handed, but we could if needed.( I did find myself taking off the gloves to use the phone or take notes with a pencil) Our hands were dry all the time. I bough these and the Youngstown Military style and half the guys liked one or the other. A good idea was to have a few extra pairs to leave inside and keep warm so you can get a new pair after a while. Don't leave them in the truck overnight, keep them inside and the'll be warm in the AM.
These gloves are warm, water proof and have a good hand movement. I am a contractor working with steel and operating equipment. I have had these gloves for one month now as you can see from the picture still in good shape. As expected from water proof gloves you hands can sweet easy. I submerged my hand in a water puddle for a few seconds hand came out dray. Currently temp is between 0 and 30 degrees keep gloves dry I haven’t had problems with cold hands. Days of snow or rain hands stayed dry but much cooler. All and all these are jack of all trades gloves from driving, snowshoeing, working or playing with dog and kid these are a great purchase.
These fit me snugly at XXL. I have normal sized hands. Most gloves tend to be smaller than advertised but these are smaller than usual and have a tight Velcro strap at the wrist.
They functioned adequately at around zero degrees when shoveling snow. Good grip. Better than normal sensitivity. Lining is thick. Basically, its your typical thinsulate glove squished into an automechanix glove. A good tradeoff between warmth and protection while maintaining dexterity.
These were ideal for driving at 4am when it was wicked cold this winter and the heater wasn't up yet in my car.
Also...waterproof.
I am a S. Fl. kid and while I usually do not get bothered by cold weather (to about 20 degrees) I did have to find something for my job. I occasionally need to work inside our freezer which is kept at or below -10 degrees for an extended period of time. I move food boxes around to organize the freezer and my hands start to hurt really bad with the company issued "cold work gloves". These gloves keep my hands warm and I have great dexterity and can easily grab/hold frozen cardboard boxes and never feel cold.
I tested the cold resistance of these gloves by holding the metal shelves for 10 mins and it never got colder than a plain glass of water (no ice, not cold water either) that was surprising to me.
I strongly suggest these gloves for cold weather in a light glove.
Now if these gloves can keep the rest of me warm while I work inside the freezer. ;)

There are perfect for working outdoors or camping etc. You could probably get away with most activities if your hands don't get REALLY cold. They are comfy and warm for this style of glove. Not a true winter alpine glove, it's a working/handling glove. I had them on in North Dakota in a snow storm at -10 and they did fine going from house to truck and walking around outside for shorter periods of time.
One thing that is VERY annoying is that the hook side of the Velcro closure is attached to the body of the glove and the soft loop side in on the closure tab. This arrangement is great for getting every single garment of clothing you wear snagged on the glove and shredding your sleeves. That I don't understand and is why 4 stars.
I'll have to test durability and amend review as I use and abuse these gloves.
Pros:
Very comfortable
Fairly waterproof
Close sizing
Cons:
Not fully waterproof, though I wouldn't expect anything short of plastic gloves to be 100% waterproof
Fairly warm if worn for a while indoors
I'm overall very satisfied, as these gloves are comfy and grip well. I'd rate the warmth as a minor inconvenience when you switch from outside to inside work and don't want to switch gloves. I'd recommend for anybody who wants a lightweight, pretty warm glove. I'd recommend a proper winter gloves for shoveling snow, but otherwise these are excellent quality! I'd use them for most of the year, except the coldest parts of winter.
Received these just in time for a big outdoor wire pull. Outside was hovering around freezing, damp, muddy, and windy - the gloves performed well.
Dexterity was very good and was exactly what I was hoping for. Heat retention lasted a long time after putting warm gloves on warm hands inside and then going outside to work. I am a little concerned about the longevity of the material. That said, I think material like this is the price to paid for being able to move your fingers while wearing gloves that let you keep working.
After have used them I'm very pleased. If they fall apart sooner than I feel is appropriate for what I spent then I'll come back and update my review.
Have only used them once so far to do Winter yard work; my hands did not get cold but I was very actively moving and laboring. These have 3M Thinsulate so that's a plus. However, they do run small... (I wear a Large in all my other gloves but the Large in these fit too snugly and -- if my hands are sweaty - trying to get them off without pulling the lining out with my fingers and hands is a bit tedious; so I'm giving the Large to my wife and I may order the XL for myself).
I ordered these gloves because of a review in an EMS magazine I subscribe to. The delivery of these was fast. I walk to work and recently there was a -20 to -40 degree cold snap in my area. Wearing these gloves kept my hands warm walking to work everyday. I even took these out ice fishing and they worked wonderful setting up and taking down the ice house in -7 degree weather with a wind chill. They got wet from the take down of the portable house and my hands never got wet or cold.
However after only wearing them 7 times the velcro on the wrist of one glove completely came unstitched from the glove. I contacted their customer support and heard back from them the next day stating they will be shipping out a new pair to replace the gloves, that was before the holidays. I waited until a week after the holidays with no replacement pair. I again contacted their support and asked them the status of my replacement pair. They said that these were back ordered until February and I could wait for them or they could send out their 818WP gloves, that have the same specs as these except the palms are made of a different material. So I opted to get the 818s instead.
But these are excellent gloves and they will keep your hands dry and warm in weather as cold as -20 to -40 degree cold, while you work. The only reason for the 4 stars is they were back ordered when I wanted a replacement pair.
