I like these gloves. They fit well and are comfortable. I haven't had issues with the edges of the red nylon straps. I use them for commuting on a bicycle. The hi-viz and reflective accents are good for being seen better. I have worn these in temperatures from the 70s to the 30s. I would use warmer gloves below 40F maybe 45F. The gloves work well with touch screens. Reflective accents could be a lot more reflective.

Update 1/16/2019 - My first pair is not totally worn out despite several thousand miles riding with them. However the palm material is getting thin so I am ordering my second pair. Over a year of regular use (3-7 days a week) is not bad. I have washed them a few times with my regular laundry then line dry. The reflective material though not great is not visibly worse than when I got them.

Not a mechanic but a friend that is introduced me to this brand for gardening. These hold up better than any garden glove I've ever bought, especially for pulling tough weeds. These are not as heavy as some they make with reinforced finger tips so they do not hold up as well there. For the money, they are a good buy, but I would still upgrade to the heavier ones, having used them as well, because they hold up twice as long under water and dirt. The heavier ones are excellent for moving rock around for walls or patios. They also make some insulated ones that are excellent for fall and winter work outside and add some additional padding for rock work, but they can get warm. All of the dry out pretty quickly. On average a pair of these might last me a week if I am in the garden transplanting and weeding.

These gloves wear a little fast. However, they are comfortable, made with the right materials to be comfortable, & slip on/off. Find them cheap, buy 2 pair, and rotate them daily if you can. Should last you a couple of months. I’m electrician/mechanic for large paint manufacturer. My hands take a beating. If I can keep my hands away from the chemicals, cuts, fatigue, my arthritis in fingers is better.
Just don’t expect them to last you more than a couple of months. You’d be disappointed.
I usually can find them for $25-30 for 2 pair. That’s about $150-$175 a year. Good investment in myself. The multi-cam seem to be most comfortable, with soft materials. Seem to breathe better. Give you better touch if dealing with small parts. Good luck. ✌️

Thin so they allow dexterity of my fingers. I can literally write with them on but still feel like my hands are protected. I've got both the YEL and ONG styles. Keep one pair clipped onto the winch on my truck, the other pair with the spare tire tools. I've used them for both those purposes, plus yard shovel - pick - rake stuff, setting concrete tiles, picking through steel drops at the steel yard, and a use that Arizona horse owners will recognize, opening hay bales with gloves to protect from scorpion stings. You could wear them for driving gloves, they're that flexible. The easy ON-OFF style is great. Eliminates the velcro "belt" at your wrist. Buy them snug. They stretch in just a couple minutes to fit really well. I bought a couple of their other styles with the same easy on-off thing. I really like that over the velcro wrist style.

I’m a motorcoach operator, and decided that some high visibility was a good idea for when I’m performing my duties, but wanted to be sure I was getting a durable product. Almost a year in with them, and I’m impressed.

They’ve gotten a little dirty from being splattered with diesel, oil, and other fluids but overall they’re holding up great! They’re comfortable, fit well, and they’re not super bulky so they don’t keep me from using the pin pad on a fuel island, or make changing a fan belt any more difficult. Not sure if I’ll just wash them, or just get a new pair once a year hits.

For the price you cannot beat these gloves. They are comfortable and truly 'fast fit' (easy on easy off). I have used a pair for repeated use around the house and doing brake jobs and other mechanical work and have yet to wear them out. I'm sure if you beat the piss out of them they would rip but they are fantastic for light to medium duty work. The reflective colored pair is great for roadside work where you want to be seen and allow others to see your hand communication.

I really like Mechanix Wear FastFit gloves. These are no exception. I am not sure why, but the Hi-Viz gloves seem to be thicker, almost insulated. These things are hot to wear on warm days, the standard colors are much better ventilated. I still would, no, I will buy them again.

I was having problems losing my hands. Now that they glow bright yellow, I don't have to worry about that anymore. Just be aware, it is darn near impossible to shoplift with these babies on.

Very snug, yet comfy and easy-on and easy off. Not really designed to keep your hands warm, but to protect them. I got these for the high-viz green/yellow color and reflective stripe. The only thing I don't like is all the printing on color part of the glove along with all of the many tags proclaiming the brand name. They would be really great gloves if they did not have all the printing all over them. Not counting the tags on the inside that you can remove, it has Five (5) Mechanix labels or marks! It would be OK with me if the logo was integrated with anti-slip features on the palm, but to have it all over the outside like this.

Easy to put on, and indeed "hi-viz." They look pretty light-duty, though, so don't expect them to last too long with rough use. I have them in my emergency kit in the back of my car; they seem ideal for that purpose.
