Edit: I originally purchased these gloves in March of 2015, 18 months and well over 500 miles of mountain biking later these things are still going strong! While most of my friends have at least gone through 1 or 2 pairs by now, I'm happy as can be with these! Photos are as of 9/13/2016 and are just barely starting to show some wear but are plenty dirty from the dry Mt. Bachelor dirt!
I wear these for riding mountain bikes. They're comfortable and look great. never had a problem with them slipping when the palms get a little muddy or wet. The rubber on the knuckles is really nice when you're bombing through the woods and branches are slapping your hands. Some people prefer something a little more light weight but even on really hot days I've never felt like they didn't breath well enough. I've had these for almost a year of riding and they're holding up really well.
I bought these because the open-cuff style gloves we have at work tend to get caught up when I'm working up trains in the train yard. I wanted a pair of gloves that hugged my wrists so they wouldn't catch on air hose support connections. These certainly did the trick. Not only that, they do well when banging my hands against couplers, running/crossover boards, and uncoupling levers. There is no play in the tips so they don't get hung up on the hand brake wheels, which the ones work provides do, adding another plus to these gloves. The knuckle cuts on the top of the gloves allows for a decent amount of flexibility and doesn't make you feel like making a fist requires a huge amount of strength to do so, useful when when grabbing air hoses to make the joints.
The only bad thing with them (if you can call it that) is I wish the cuff would be higher up my wrist. I got the medium size, and to me it feels small (I have long fingers but small hands). I think next payday I'll try buying a size large to see if that helps at all.
Over all, a great pair of gloves that does what I want them to do.
[UPDATE]
After having these gloves for a couple of weeks and using them exclusively, it hasn't taken long for the index finger stitching to break. They already have holes in them. These are not for the kind of work I perform.
I've been a tech for 15 years and i've bought COUNTLESS pairs of gloves, but i always end up coming back to the Mechanix M-Pact's. This is my 4th pair of of M-Pacts and i love them. I like a tight fit so i went with Med (average sized guy hands, not bear paws).. The cushioning on the back side of the glove is great for when you smash your hand, and the extra thick palm helps take the vibration out of things if you're rattling something loose. They do pretty fair in super cold temps, but the're not THICK either so that's to be exprected. Overall i highly recommend them. Don't wast money on cheap knock-offs.
I bought these impact gloves for skating after I had fallen on my hand and bruised my knuckles, wrist and fingers. My fingers still hurt 6 months later. I got a small being a girl and needing it to fight tighter. Probably norma midl sized males would want a medium and if you are big and tall. The. Large. You can still bend your fingers in these, make a fist and the touch stuff on fingers do work to change a song on your iPod or something like that. Love the d30 in the palms, seems rugged and durable, soft fake suede leather in the palm is soft and grippy, flexible, the outside is a woven mesh fabric seems durable enough for sports.
Well it is still early to give a good review but after switching off mechanix gloves to kunckleheads and then back, I forgot how comfortable they are and less bulky. Now I work in a railyard were I'm up and tincans, grabbing and setting spouts to fill the trucks. And for the first week, with rain, sunny and pouring rain this is what I got.
When I first got them do not, I repeat do not smell them. The chemical smell is very strong, let those bad boys air out at least 2 days before you work with them. I mean the smell gets on your hands and that's all you smell for the rest of the day. These are not as breathable as you hope but are extremely easy to take off, if you got the right size of course. Other than those two I really dont have an issue. Love them.

Description
The Hi-Viz M-Pact XD work glove is built with XD synthetic leather to provide extreme durability for working hands. In low-light environments, ANSI-107 compliant reflective ink and fluorescent materials provide eye-catching luminance on the job. The Hi-Viz M-Pact XD features a secondary internal layer of XD synthetic leather to reinforce your index finger and thumb. Impact-absorbing Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) extends from your knuckles to your fingertips, delivering critical pinch-point and impact protection. When you’re in full swing, D3O palm padding reacts on impact to absorb and dissipate energy through the palm of your hand.
These gloves are awesome. This is the second pair I bought (different color this time) and the last pair lasted me over a year of hard wear and tear at my job on a day to day basis. I move heavy furniture and other less than finger friendly items and they are perfect for the job. All of your pressure points are reinforced with foam insulated pads with leather over covers. The grip is amazing and you hardly lose any dexterity with your fingers. I'll be honest though trying to use a my cellphone with them on was miserable but other than that i had no problems. 5 stars all the way.
I have had 3 pairs of the Mechanix M-Pact gloves. My first pair I wore for years, until they had holes. They held up to field work very well. My second pair was stolen, so I got my next pair in Hi-Viz Orange and I love them.
According to the sizing chart I am right between L/XL. I have used both. Large fit but my range of motion is just a tad hindered. The XL allow better movement but are a tad large.
Either way I love them.
Good buy!
These are great for working around the farm; tough, durable and the different colors mean we don't mix up our gloves. Mechanix Wear gloves always fit well, are not big and bulky, allowing you to actually do things with your hands besides hold a shovel or axe. Have several pair of these and will continue to use Mechanix Wear.
Great work gloves well padded. I'm a skinny guy with skinny hands. Even if I get my size (I did) gloves are still loose. This is the main reason I purchase this brand. They use velcro straps and are make to last more than one season. I have three different pairs of Mechanix brand gloves. I do not work or affiliated with the company. I just love the fit and comfort.
This pair is my riding gloves for warm weather, and I am quite happy with them.
Good:
1. Comfortable
2. Hi visibility
3. Wind cuts right through them
Bad:
1. For the first week, these reeked of new plastic.
