Youngstown Glove 03-3450-80-XXL Waterproof Winter Plus Performance Glove XXLarge, Black

For a product that is a cold weather water resistant glove, it is handsome enough to wear even if working outdoors isn't your normal job. I bought them for outdoor use in commuting, walking, and working in outdoor weather.

I normally buy leather casual gloves, but always end up using them for more than their intended purpose. I go through about 2 pairs of casual gloves a season since they get torn up by working outdoors in wet weather. The casual leather receive cuts and end up waterlogged and with huge gashes.

These gloves take care of every purpose I can think of. If you want fine dexterity gloves, look somewhere else. They have a gap between the end of the liner and the shell, which is fine with me as I don't know of any glove with all of the same features that can be used as a work glove and allow the ability to type on a keyboard.

When ordering these beauties order a size larger. I wear a XL and ordered the XXLs just to be safe and they fit perfectly without pulling the liner out with your hand. Also, I have heard others say that their fingers get cold in these gloves, but those people probably need a mitten because they aren't working with their hands. Give it a chance to warm your hands and the fingers will follow through.

I purchased these gloves for use in a sub freezer (-15 to -25 degrees). I work in there for an hour to three hours at a time and these gloves are great for that. I was a little worried about the size of the gloves, since they fit so tightly, but to my surprise, they kept my fingers warm. They are just as warm as the downhill skiing gloves I purchased for almost 4 times the cost of these.

As far as durability, I have not had an issue using these gloves. There has been no wearing or tearing anywhere and I have been using them for 4 months now. Other gloves that I have used for the same purpose have started wearing by this time.

For the waterproofing, I cannot say since I do not use them snowy or wet conditions.

For the purpose of drying out from sweaty hands, they dry out pretty quickly. Usually about 4 hours in open air and they are completely dried out from the inside.

All in all, I would highly recommend these gloves for working in cold conditions.

My dad is a truck driver and these are the only gloves that he uses now. The exterior palm grip is great at keeping hold of cold metal chains and the waterproof claim is correct. We use them in the snow and the rain; so far they have held up without any problems. These tend to run a bit small so while I usually would order a large for myself, with these I would bump them up to an extra-large. The interior lining is great at keeping your hands warm even in the dead of winter but it does bunch up a bit when initially putting the gloves on (the larger size helps to prevent this). With heavy use (four multiple hour long uses a night moving a lot by hand) my dad goes through about 1 pair a winter but with normal use (regular snow shoveling and other outdoors work) mine have lasted for two years with no obvious issues. I would highly recommend to anyone seeing that these are hands down the best gloves I've ever used.

Fits like a glove! Pun totally intended there. I bought these gloves for working in the freezer at my work. They're super warm and are truly waterproof. Any other gloves would get wet and freezing after touching a couple frosty boxes in the freezer at my work.

I originally purchased them on 10/6/2010.
**Although these can be used for a number of outdoor activities (Work/Play), I used them for riding my bicycle in the winter. **They kept my hands warm and dry. It took me over three years to find gloves that kept my hands BOTH warm and dry.
** They are very durable and the original gloves I purchased looked as if they were still new.
I my opinion, these are the best gloves ever! However, after a day of riding, I lost them--I was very fortuate that the exact same model was still available over two-years after my original purchased.

These gloves are well constructed, warm, and most importantly, truly waterproof. Though it doesn't affect their quality, they do run a little small on the sizing. A large size glove is usually comfortably snug, so I first ordered a XL size but found it was too snug to easily get on and off. I then ordered an XXL and it is a perfect fit for my L hands. The extra ordering isn't too critical for us as my wife now has a good fitting pair of "Winter Plus Performance" gloves and can enjoy the same comfort I do when she helps with the firewood gathering.

I have tested these while working outdoor on the construction site in the cold. They kept my hands dry and warm.

I use these gloves every day for work, durable but every day use as hard as I work they will last about 10 months. I love them though these are my 3rd pair

This was recommended by my husbands co-worker and it was definitely a good recommendation! I purchased these for him because he works in the rain and cold with airplanes and paperwork so this was great. It really is waterproof and it still is in great condition after a year of use. Highly recommend this for anyone who works out in the rain and cold.

My husband love these. Not very bulky and keeps him toasty
