I was able to use this for 3 weeks without any tearing on the gloves. Usage consisted of routinely lifting 30+ lbs object with wool liner gloves on. The second layer coating, with the yellow coloring was showing on the finger tips. If you normally wear x-large gloves, you'll want to consider getting this in x-large if wearing wool liners, otherwise you may be able to skate by with large size. These have a tendency of wanting to fall off your hands from gravity alone, and the yellow part seen in the picture, ends before the wrist. At this price range, these gloves can't be beaten.
As seen in my pictures, there is no cut on the cuff, which is great.
