Wells Lamont Leather Work Gloves, Grain, Extra Large

Wells Lamont Leather Work Gloves, Grain, Extra Large (1133XL)

Wells Lamont Leather Work Gloves, Grain, Extra Large (1133XL)

The Wells Lamont are good gloves, but not as soft as I had expected. I have other pig skin gloves which are much softer. I plan to use the gloves for work on the wood lathe. I have been using deer skin gloves which wear out quickly, but have a great soft feel to them using turning tools. I ordered Wells Lamont "XL" which is what I generally need in work gloves. I found that the 1133XL to be too large. They are definitely very large gloves. In the past, I had always found gloves to be too small, even the large, not these. The gloves seem sturdy and well made, but be aware that they rally are x-tra large.

I use these as part of my vehicle recovery kit in my 4x4 truck, for skidding logs etc... with the winch. This pair replaced a pair of old Wells Lamont goat skin ropers that I had for 12 years.

Given the fact these are both Wells Lamont, I assumed Xl would be the same between the gloves. It's not. I have very big hands, and the goat skin XLs were plenty roomy. These actually do "fit like a glove". I don't have to manhandle them on, but they do contact my hand almost completely. This is both good and bad. Not much breathing room, but no slack material to catch when working.

I would have preferred the goat skins as they are more comfortable, but then again, they were old and well broken in. Time will tell if these pigskin gloves will break in and be as comfortable... I sure hope so!

I ordered extra large gloves then had second thoughts about the size. However when they arrived they were just the right size. They are comfortable to wear and easy to work with.

Very comfortable gloves that are very flexible. You can operate power tools and change drill bits, saw blades, etc. easily. The price you pay for that is that they are thinner and not as heavy duty as some other gloves so if you're handling rough lumber or course building materials a lot, these will wear out quickly--use thicker gloves for that work.

These gloves are great! This is the second pair I have purchased. The first prayer lasted me over two years. I have a couple of donkeys in corrals, and the work can get a little messy at times. What I admire most about these gloves is that if they get wet, once they dry they are still supple. I would recommend them to anyone.

This is a high quality work glove that is also very smooth and soft. My biggest problem with gloves is that an XL doesn't fit my hands most of the time. This pair of gloves fits very well. It truly is an XL size.

They are what I thought they would be. Have other pairs of these that I use anytime I need to protect my hands. When these are new they look nice, when they are old they are comfortable. These are the gloves I use when shoveling (weird, not insulated) when you are working hard outside the temp if not really that important these (when broken in) give you the grip and not get your hands sweaty during hours outside.

What a buy! How do they make them so good and sell them so cheap? Don't be mislead by the picture. You get 1 left and 1 right glove, or as I like to them, 1 pair of gloves. They run true to size.

These are the best gloves I have used for gardening and yard work. They are thick enough to give good protection, but are comfortable to wear and not stiff. The pigskin is tough and tolerates getting wet without becoming hard. They seem well made and the price is reasonable.

my husband likes it. and it's good for an easy lawn work. it's soft and doesn't have the bad smell. it does not leave your hand with the yellow color after use. good gloves with the price you can pay for happily.
